Default From Good to Great, Kill A Note.

Lets have a little fun on this Friday afternoon.

Choose a frag, any frag. Pick 1 note to kill and/or add that would make take that fragrance from Good to Great! I'll start

    L'Occitan Eau Des Baux

    Kill: Incense
    Add: Sandalwood

Went and tested it today and the fragrance started off nice. Airy cardamom with vanilla in the background. Then that incense kicks in about 10-15 in and its harsh for the next 2-3 hrs. A nice smooth sandalwood to layer with cardamom and vanilla would make this scent way more enjoyable for me.

Virgin Island Water: Get rid of the coconut so it doesn't smell like a suntan lotion.
Nicole Farhi Homme : Take out the tea tree and see if the other notes can work without it.

Not a 100% accurate "kill/add-ratio" here, but would personally eliminate anything responsible for the sweaty/fleshy base of Kouros and further heighten (even if it would mean only increasing the proportion without adding anything new in particular) its powerhouse fougere opening and mid section

So glad you mentioned this, hednic. I had no idea this scent existed, it sounds fantastic indeed, and its name is a favorite Brazilian phrase. I see its maker has no other products, and is actually French. Do you have any idea where I could obtain Tudo Bem?

(And what the heck is jaboticaba?)

Yes! The huge oregano note ruins this one for me too.

Actually there are 6 fragrances available from this house, all of which I own and love. (Pour Toujours being the house) I bought these at Jovoy in Paris two years ago. Interestingly, they no longer seem to carry the house. Unfortunately not available in the States. See here: https://www.pour-toujours-parfums.pa.../find-a-store/ As for jaboticaba, it is a berry that resembles a grape. I happen to have a few jaboticaba trees that grow on my property in Brazil. I love the fruit.
