Default Please help me identify this bottle!

    Hi everyone

I have spent weeks trying to find a replacement of a perfume that my gf just loves but I cannot seem to find it.

Her birthday is around the corner and am running out of time.

Am hoping someone can help me identify this bottle.

    Thank you.

I am taking it that you don't want to let her know that you are buying/replacing it ?
    A surprise birthday gift .

Actually she doesn't remember the name either. She just casually mentioned one that she wished she knew what the name was so she can buy more. I have managed to take a picture without her knowing.

Has she had this for sometime ?
What shape ,meaning is it a bird, L , would you consider to be ?
Also, where does she generally shop ?
Bath and Body Works , Victoria Secrete ?
If you knew where she shopped ,you could take the bottle there.
You could bring it to Sephora .
Have the girls look at it.
    Maybe they would know.
They could assess the smell, figure out what style it is , and go from there .
Maybe a discovery set would be good.

Possibly mandarina duck? The way the bottle colour is around the edges reminded me of theirs???

She has had it for a quite some time hence doesnt remember where she got it from and it is a weird bird or duck shape. I will try to take it to a store next week and see what they come up with.

I've been searching for you , and wow ,the prices of antique perfume bottles have shot up,drastically.
Picked this little one up for $10 a number of years back . Here's a link https://www.etsy.com/listing/2871204...f=sr_gallery_8

Anyways, this ones bugging me ,for I've seen this before.
At first I thought it was a rooster with the black wooden cap as it's comb.
    That's red though . but now I think it's an L.
Maybe bring it to Bath and Body Works .
What did it smell like ?
Can you take the cap off and see if it still smells .
Sometimes you can get a scent profile still.
    Sweet,floral ?
(History de Parfums) has a very inexpensive Discovery Set.
I think it goes for like $20 at Sephora.
You know, just in case you can't find a replacement for the one in question.
    It's a thought.
Now,back to looking at some of those antique bottles.
I am looking at some of the travel sprayers from the 50's and 60's .
    They still hold some value.
Also some lipstick holders. Mainly 800 silver.
People see 800 silver and think less of it.It's not .925.
So they pass on it, much like mixed metal jewelry .
That was silly of them.Look at the prices of Los Castillio mixed metal inlays now.
It was a common practice to use 800 in Europe .
I remember picking up a couple filagree perfume bottles for $10 a piece a little while ago.
I was dishearted when I came back home and found out the price they were going for .
It was about what I paid for them.
    Not so now.
So if anything ,don't through your bottle away, WHO KNOWS.
I wish you the very best of success in your searches .

    That's awesome .
How in the word did you find that ?
    Ahhh, Lagerfeld
It is an L . Very cool.
    Seriously though .
How did you do your search ?
It might help a lot of us to know.

    Fluke or not,you did it.
I just did a search on Ebay for Women's Perfume .
Umm, there's A LOT of them.
I just went to search, opened up the 200 per page and started scrolling .
That's why I said, Fluke or Not ,and glad you did find it.
My eyes started getting dizzy ,but there is a number of way to reduce your search.

I was using Google Search. Like bottles shaped like a bird, an L pink etc,
but it kept directing me to antique bottle designs .
I kinda got lost looking at them .
Then I searched for more recent bottles with the same search.
It kept directing me to more expensive modern designs .
So yes, Ebay search does seem to work well .

You just need good info ,limit your search, and scroll away.
Thank you so much for teaching me this.
