Aqua Velva Ice Blue
Splashes: Hattrick, Floid, Denim, while also seconding Old Spice, in no particular order
Balms: anything by Alverde, Yves Rocher, Balea, G. Bellini, Proraso (also among splashes, along with other assorted grooming products from this particular brand), Prince (inexpensive German supermarket brand, as with Proraso, good with both affordable splashes and balms) while the complementary Bogart Signature scented after shave balm can be of a very good quality

My swap thread.
Fine: Snake Bite. It's a menthol monster. It is unscented. I also really like the Proraso ones. I recently ordered a bottle of Pitralon because I've heard good things, but of course I had to pick the eBay seller that decided to not send my item or reply to my messages. Womp womp.
EDIT:
Although over two weeks past the deliver date, I received my bottle of Pitralon. I get a lot of rose, ylang ylang and a touch of banana. Scent lasts a little over an hour, but it is very subtle. Makes my skin feel terrific!

Love most of the modern boutique A/S shaves (B&M, The Holy Black, etc). As for vintage I have an 80 old year old bottle of Pinaud Lilac Vegetal that is glorious. I have been chosen!
Barrister and Mann Reserve Cool. It smells incredible, and it’s alcohol based. Has some witch hazel too for irritation. Actually, anything from Barrister and Mann will be great![]()
The Woodspice collection of aftershaves by Marks & Spencer.
Good choice. Nice for not a lot of money.
Agreed with Hat and Beard's suggestion of Fine Snakebite. I also enjoy Floïd Mentolado Vigoroso for a menthol-kick (especially with added menthol crystals...).
Australian Private Reserve do some great aftershaves, they feel wonderful.
British Barbers' Association Post-Shave Balm is a little disconcerting (it's deep, blood-red) but it goes on so nicely and abates any irritation.
My home made Zoologist Rhinoceros and Panda aftershaves.![]()
I love me a good burn. At the moment:
1. Brut
2. Aqua Velva Musk
3. Gillette Cool Wave
I've been thinking about branching out, but with the high quality of those mentioned at such a low price, I cannot abide the steep pricing of the designer aftershaves. I might look in to finding cheap alternatives that will compliment the fragrances that I will be wearing. Now, for the most part AVM when I wear a amber or animalic, Gillette when I wear freshies, Brut is the catch-all dumb reach everything else and if I don't have one planned yet my go to.
It’s tragic to think that heroic man’s great destiny is to become economic man, that men will be reduced to craven creatures who crawl across the globe competing for money, who spend their nights dreaming up new ways to swindle each other.
I really can't go with anything besides Old Spice and Brut. They smell good and are very nostalgic as well. I hated them for a while there in my 20's but I've circled back around to them.
