    Default Best gourmand with a twist!

    Hi all, what is your favourite gourmand fragrance with just enough twist in order not to end up smelling too edible?
    I like his majesty the oud, ambre narguilee, amour de cacao, oud wa vanilia,

    Which are yours?

    Serge Lutens Santal Majuscule - sandalwood and dry cocoa. Absolutely wonderful and not too sweet. Much prefer it to Feve Delicieuse as I find the tonka bean in that to lend it too much of a 'perfume-y' vibe.

    Several from Serge Lutens including Arabie and Jeux de Peau, Dior's Eau Noire, Spiritueuse Double Vanille and also perhaps Ambre Narguile.

    Seconding this--and a twist of vetiver!

    Angel Eau de Toilette is another one, not so sweet as Angel edp and with a woody twist.

    Also, if willing to experiment a bit more daringly (but still quite effortlessly) unisex side, since these fragrances can be ravishing, classy while remaining youthful as well and complex on ladies as much as they are on men, Dior Homme Intense and Givenchy Very Irresistible could be pretty safe bets

    Thirding (?) these two (Angel Muse and EDT)!

    I've also warmed up to Xerjoff's Casamorati Bouquet Ideale. It has a lot of vanilla (which I don't usually go for), but here there is something else going on that makes it wonderful. It's not sickeningly sweet (to me, anyway) and has only a light touch of spicy notes. I can't personally pick these out, but Fragrantica lists the notes as:

    Top notes: nutmeg and cinnamon;
    Middle notes: sandalwood, guaiac wood, virginia cedar and papyrus;
    Base notes: musk, french labdanum, vanille, coumarin and tobacco blossom
