    Default Chanel Question

Men, which Chanel extrait would you rather smell on a female:

    Cuir de Russie

    Bois des Iles

(I get to choose my Xmas present and am hoping you'll help!)

I'm a Bois des Iles man myself. I smell a fine relationship to Antaeus but more "Coco Cnanel" in nature. Love it!

Bois des Iles is magic in extrait form. The only extrait I absolutely had to buy - it gave me goosebumps.

I would not like to smell Cuir de Russie on a woman personally.

Do you feel it is just too masculine smelling? Or is it the animalics involved that make it unappealing to you?

It's been genuinely surprising to find out how few males would enjoy CdR on a female.

    1. No, never blind buy (I do, but do as I say, not as I do. I'm taking no responsibility for your fragrance gambling).
    2. Get them both. You're a Basenoter and you know you're going to end up purchasing them both eventually.
    3. Yes, it has been reformulated.
    4. Looking for a signature scent? You've come to the wrong place.

So you feel that the newer CdR has been too utterly changed?

I don't think it's masculine. But if you want a good leather with a more female feel try Cuir Cannage.
