I think you beat Macy's normal retail pricing quite well. Fragrance choices are debatable and another matter, which ultimately only comes down to how you feel you did. If you love and adore those fragrances, then I say congratulations on your purchases and I hope you enjoy them immensely and often.

A job well done. I have only one of those (Dior Sauvage) and that alone cost me almost as much as your entire haul.

Very nicely done! A haul of real crowd pleasers. In the real world, away from this picky crowd, you are a fine smelling gent!

Congratulations, and if you enjoy them THAT is all that matters.

To the snarksters, I own 2 bell jars of Iris Silver Mist and enjoy them immensely.

I quite enjoy two of them. I know it gets a bad rap but I think Sauvage isn't all that bad, especially as modern day releases of designer stuff goes. It's better than most of the junk on the market. Oh and Le Male is indeed a classic.. a good smelling fragrance for the low cost. Everyone loves Le Male when I wear it. Not so sure about the other two, 1 Million Intense and Invictus Intense, I don't like 1 Million and I don't think I like Invictus either.. as I gave my bottle away, but yeah, each to their own! You could have gotten a bottle of Creed from a discounter for that $180 price though! Just kidding! Enjoy your purchases!

$180 can easily snag you a top quality fragrance or a bunch of mediocres. As long as you enjoy them, it doesn’t really matter which option you went for. ‘Always choose quality’ is a sage advice I wish I’d received as a newbie.

You can really spot the douchebags quite easily on here with how they respond to people. Enjoy your fragrances, I've been collecting for a long time and still own and enjoy all of those, especially 1 million and Invictus Intense, both very nice and underrated scents

I paid $238 for all those buying them at different times at FragranceNet and Amazon, so you did really good.

I think you did amazing for Macy's.
A lot of folks here would have looked for a slightly higher end store and spent the whole $180 on one bottle.
Sometimes variety is better, sometimes just one bottle that really wows you is the way to go.

@ OP - Congrats on your haul. In regard to pricing, you may have been able to piece things together elsewhere for less but no matter - at least from Macy's, you won't have to worry about grey market or fake items.

Like others have said, it's more about if you enjoy them. I mean, you could own a $200 fragrance that's just a "like" that you rarely wear or you could own a $20 fragrance that you absolutely love. In that scenario, I think the $20 fragrance is a much bigger "win".

That's a nice haul, OP. If you enjoy them and are having fun with them and this hobby, that is what matters more than anything else. Good score.

100% right. These scents the OP bought will likely be well received by just about everybody in person (unless oversprayed, of course).

We can all spot the douchebags, I'm just not sure we'd agree on who they were.

    Well said on both counts.

You like what you like. I like Mont Blanc Individuel. Putting on my objective, critical sniffing hat, it's a pretty terrible composition. Taking that hat off, it's fun to wear and has nostalgic value for me.

So, I won't begrudge anyone their - I'll call them populist - scent preferences. We all have them!

That looks like you got some good mileage from your money. In my opinion, Sauvage and Le Male are both good stuff. The other two bottles I never smelled.

Are they the ones who argue about Creed? Or the ones who criticise people for criticising people? Or the dull-as-dishwater bastions of faux morality? Or the vainglorious who seem to only buy fragrances so they can post pictures to be oohed and cooed at? Maybe even get a compliment.

It's all just a mind scramble at this point.

Of the choices offered, I'm torn between the dishwater one and the vainglorious option.

Nice deal for sure. If I were you, I'd try to switch Le male for Ultra Male. Tell them they gave you the wrong bottle.

I think you'd appreciate it much more

Grats OP. I enjoy Le Male, 1 Million Intense (check out the Absolutely Gold flanker if you haven't tried it already), and Sauvage. Not sure I've smelled that Invictus flanker yet, though.

And yes, you should definitely check out Ultra Male if you haven't already.
