Default What bottle size do you usually purchase?

    Howdy all,

My collection has been growing recently, and I was curious; when making a new purchase, which bottle size do you usually go for? Most releases nowadays are released in 50ml or 75ml, then 100ml or 125ml (sometimes 150ml or more).

Does this vary depending on whether you're making a blind buy or not?
Move on. It is just a chapter in the past, but don't close the book, just turn the page.

100 ml or more if possible, 50, 75 ml or other "smaller" bottle sizes if larger ones are unavailable and still wishing to have the respective fragrance (s)

I have so many perfumes by now that I try to buy the 50ml for most. However, if it's something I really like a lot, I go for the largest size-the reason being that more often than not, the perfume is later reformulated, so you want to stock up while you can.

As the price for 100ml is usually not that much greater than 50ml particularly for designers, I tend to go for the larger.
However I would choose 50ml sizes for certain expensive niche brands if they were actually offered as I am unlikely to ever finish a 100ml and it would allow me to buy more of their range. Unfortunately many niche manufacturers do not offer the smaller size which is a pity.

I usually buy 100 ml ones. When the fragrance has poor performance and it's available in a bigger size then I buy it.

    100ml+, have some 60ml and 15ml spilts.
Fragrance is my favorite thing. So much so that if I leave the house and I don't put any on, I'll turn around and go back home.

Given that I presently have perhaps a combined 8000 ml of various things, I like the 50 ml size...and, my preference is really 10 - 30 ml.

I'd love it if the 30 ml size were popular and available at a slightly lower price than the 50 ml.

There are just a few things that I want 100 ml +...

My preference is for 50ml where possible, unless the price difference is miniscule. I've only been at this for a few months, and I already have enough fragrances to last me decades; in most cases more than 50ml is unnecessary.

The smallest available size. I don’t really care for the price per ml argument since the amount of juice untouched and unsprayed sitting on your shelf represents the true cost of opportunity foregone.

Agreed. 50ml for $100 is exactly the same as 100ml for $100 if you never use more than 50ml of either.

Most of my fragrances are 100 ml because the cost is not much more. However, I plan on going to smaller sizes in the future so I can get a better variety. The exception is with a few versatile fragrances that I plan to wear a lot.

Most commonly 100ml bottles. I rarely buy 50mls because I don't see the point in it.. they cost maybe 15-20% less in some cases for half the amount. However, I don't really like going much bigger than 100ml either for some reason. Like 200ml bottles and such.. they just seem odd to me. Thankfully they aren't all that common! I feel 100ml is the ideal size so I buy it wherever possible.

As of late, usually 100-120 ml.

Only two purchases in the past year were 50 ml: Xerjoff Nio (only size available at Luckyscent, which I had a gift card to) and Bvlgari Aqva (can't complain as I got it for $22 at a store closing sale).
It's really quite pleasant, except for the smell (...)

95% of the time 100ml. 125 is the highest I’ll go as I don’t like the look of 200ml bottles.

99+% of the time, 100 mL, or the larger of any two sizes available.

I only felt obliged for a larger 150 mL bottle to replace a nearly empty 50 mL of (one of) my partner's favorite scents.

I used to always lean toward 100ml. But I have so much that I will never get to - and I really am not in any danger of finishing off any bottle I have ever purchased - that I am not too picky anymore. 50ml will almost always be sufficient. However, I do still go for the 100ml more often than the smaller size, just because of the insignificant price difference in most cases.

Used to go with 100ml but lately been into smaller sizes. Any 100ml I have bought barely looks used so even 30ml will last me years.

The majority of mine are between 50ml and 100ml. Dior Homme line are all 50ml. Creeds are 125ml. TDH refillable metal bottle is 150ml. My largest bottle, at 180ml, is ADG Essenza that I was able to acquire for $50.

I usually grab 100 ML as it's the largest size bottle I can carry on when I fly.

100ml+ if it's a very light EdT or cologne. Otherwise, as small as possible whilst being still economically sensible. If, say, a 100ml version is only £5 more expensive than a 50ml, I'll go for the former and spray with abandon. I prefer 10 - 20ml decants nowadays because my collection is simply very large now (80+ bottles easily).

I used to always purchase the largest bottle I could get. Usually a 3.4 oz bottle. The longer I collect the more I am finding out that I never even get close to finishing a bottle. I also have so many different fragrances I have had a few go bad on my before I was able to use them all. So I plan on getting more 50 ml bottles in the future unless that particular fragrance is kind of weak on sillage then I'll get a larger size.

Like Docpsycho I went for biggest bottle 3-6 oz. And like him I realized I will never finish a 100 ml bottle in my life given the size of my wardrobe.
Now I am (or try to be) comment with 30-50 ml.
