Question Female Tuscan Leather that was around in the 80's?

    Hi, everyone.

I'm looking for a feminine version of Tuscan Leather to give as a gift. My 2nd grade teacher in 1986 (female 25 years old at the time) wore something that smelled kind of like Tuscan Leather. Any ideas what it could have been? Thanks for any help.

Classic leathers available back then included:
Estee Lauder Azuree: not as sharp as TL, but definitely butch. And Estee Lauder was widely available in the US.
Cabochard: more floral and smoother than TL. Unfortunately, the current version of Cabochard is not good, so you'd have to go for vintage.
Piguet Bandi: a very strong leather with green notes. The butchest of the lot, but I suspect it must have been a bit upscale even back then.
Caron Tabac Blond: strong and with some ambers. Again, probably too niche for a 25 year old. The current version is not good.

    Leather Oudh by Al Haramain

You might find it for about $60 online. Came out in 2016, but is a feminine version of Tuscan Leather.

I'm impressed that you could remember what your 2nd grade teacher smelled like 30 years ago.

Betcha anything it was Azuree. An elementary school teacher wouldn't be spending money above the Macy's level for perfume. And Cabochard was pretty out of favor by that time.

Another idea might be Hermes Caleche. A light leather, more floral, but a definite note of leather.

Here are a few to check:

    Pierre Balmain Jolie Madame
    Rochas Femme Rochas
    Montana Parfum de Peau
    Molinard Habanita
    Caron Tabac Blond
    Chanel Cuir de Russie
    Robert Piguet Bandit
    Estee Lauder Azuree
