We are due to visit the revamped Les Senteurs sometime soon so I will certainly put it on the list.
D'oh! Of course! My bad Well, I'll be very interested to hear if Une Amourette works for you. I actually have a hard time classifying it as "An Animalic," per se because of how the animalic notes present -- that gauzy, veil thing I mentioned. I find it more of a "pretty/sexy" fragrance than an animalic one. It's definitely NOT a Salome or MKK or a Creed Royal Delight.

Oh, and Jon, you smell fabulous today -- and ineespenes, you smelled fabulous the last couple of days. I wore Daim Blond a couple of times last week. It just smells wonderful this time of year, I think.

Phoenix al Cambodi Attar by Rising Phoenix Perfumery

Such a beautiful attar, makes me instantly happy when I'm wearing it. Oud, ambergris and Mysore sandalwood. Simple & effective. A nice small bubble of strong oud all around me - all day.

Hazel5 - how do you like that PG? I've been eyeing it.
ExtremeK - good luck with those intermittent fastings. I've never done it, but I have heard about them. I am totally off coffee, with this cleanse I am on (Day 8 of 10) but I will most likely start drinking green tea when the cleanse ends. And coffee ever-so-often.
rynegne - enjoy the concert (and stay warm, it's cold up there in MN!)
thediamondsea - No, I've never smelled Dirty Velvet, thanks for the heads up - sounds great. What a weird name!?

I am wearing Pulp. I woke up in a ridiculously frivolous mood and Pulp matches it. Later, I think I'll track down something decadent to eat for Valentine's Day.

I don't celebrate Valentines's Day, but for some reason I woke in the mood for roses. So I'm wearing Kilian's Rose Oud and burning Diptyque's Roses candle.

    Have a good day, everyone!

I’m wearing By Kilian Love today ... totally appropriate for Valentine’s Day. We’re not doing anything special either, except taking Jameson to Puppy Class, or Charm School as my younger son is calling it. Don’t know why, but the name Charm School makes me smile.

Happy VD everyone! hugs to all ...

    Good afternoon/evening, everyone!

Sounds like everyone is celebrating V-Day with lots and lots of roses--appropriate and also classy anywhere, anytime.

The mister and I are going to have some lamb chops and asparagus for dinner. It's nice to have food that's both a little sophisticated and also relatively uncomplicated and not hard to digest on a weeknight.

I decided that, rather than roses, I would go with a love-themed perfume choice: Amour Liquide, again--which comes as a surprise, because I usually don't feel this excited by vanilla two days in a row. But I had some pain today, and it was the kind of pain that actually prevents curling into a fetal position--so this comforting vanilla is doing the work of a good fetal position for now. And it will smell inviting and comfy for later in the evening, when we snuggle down on the couch and watch this evening's Olympic broadcast.

This stuff is still growing on me. Once again, I find myself rethinking my early impressions. This might even turn into a gateway drug to an exploration of gourmands. Anything could happen . . . .
