Default Enrico Coveri Pour Homme: Yay or Nay?

Am on the fence about whether or not to purchase a bottle of the reformulated Enrico Coveri Pour Homme, never tried this one back in the day so not being vintage doesn't bother me.
    Anyone familiar with this one?

I have tried it. For me - nay. That's just me.

The opening I found distasteful. Something there didn't sit right with me. However, you might love it.

Have just tried vintage. Just keep in mind It's a thick, dark, sweet and sour woody smell. Nothing like what's sold nowadays.

I have a few bottles of the vintage (purchased in Italy in 1990) and it's quite a pleasant mossy leather with warm lavender/sage tones. It's a good release but nothing outstanding. Probably indicative of its time.

I think I've worn it once in the last 15 years. You're probably not missing anything by not buying it.

I've haven't tried the recent version, so can't advise.
