Default Scent with a distinctive camomile note

    Dear Ladies,

I'm a senior male basenoter, but now I'd like to help my daughter: she's looking for such a scent. I would really appreciate if any of you could help me with an advice.

Thank you very much in advance.

Montale Full Incense has a prominent chamomile note in the late drydown, but I'm willing to bet that this kind of scent is not exactly what she is after...

Thank you very much. I know several Montale scents, and based on my experience I'd say - no, Montale is not her brand

In the meantime I've found an article on camomile as a note in scents, from a person, the opinion of whom I tend to accept:

As pointed in the article, the perfumes one can think of use chamomile to temper other big notes (rose, florals etc.). Another example would be Fracas (tuberose and chamomille). But I cannot think of one where chamomille is the primary player.

Thank you again for you all I'll forward all the replies to the lady. Actually she's not as much in the scent-hobby as I am, but still she loves to smell great

Demeter has a Chamomile tea fragrance that's a spot-on mix of chamomile and freshly brewed tea. It doesn't smell as synthetic as other Demeter. Longevity and sillage are good for the price.

    Cerruti 1881 pour Femme

...is probably good. I like the more popular male version anyway, but the feminine contains a lot of chamomile. Shouldn't be that expensive either (maybe $30 or so).

    Lush Black Pearl

...too, although it's been discontinued and is probably hard to find.

I just saw there's a No. 1 Twist Chamomile by Clive Christian. Might be a bit pricier

Seconding Aromatics Elixir here--the bitter/floral aspect of chamomile is possibly this perfume's most distinctive quality. Having been raised in the Texas suburbs in the 80s, I confess that I smelled AE first--but the first time I ever smelled chamomile tea, the recognition was instant.

Plus, it is not expensive and very easy to find pretty much everywhere.

Good luck and keep us posted!

Again, thank you all Firstly I should acquire samples, which in Hungary isn't a very easy thing. But I'll do my best, and then I'll inform you on the outcome.

Not sure how hard to find it is. Last time I was in the Lush store I think I only saw the Dad's Garden Lemon Tree. I've never tried Aromatics Elixir and never knew it featured a chamomile note, good to know.

Have this. The chamomile in this is quite subtle IMO.

I love chamomile and would also love to find a realistic chamomile fragrance, but for me Demeter Chamomile Tea didn't do it at all. I donated my bottle.

Just saw this, and come to think of it, Selperniku, which I just bought, has chamomile. I'm not sure if it's prominent because my nose has picked up on the buttery apricot and won't let go. PM if you'd like my sample.

    Hello kind father!

You might try to find a vintage bottle of the original Ivoire (1980). I see chamomile listed as one of its notes on Fragrantica, and I think that's correct. NB: this is green, unsugared scent very different from contemporary perfumes.

Maria Candida Gentile's Sideris and Hanbury have suggestions of chamomile, in my opinion. My Italian mother recommends chamomile tea with honey for every complaint, mental, physical, or spiritual, and MCG's herbal notes remind me of this tea.

Another option is to get some chamomile essential oil. I see Eden Botanicals is also offering an organic chamomile hydrosol that sounds perfectly delightful:
