    Default Inexpensive gems that perform

What are your guys favorite inexpensive fragrances that last all day and just have amazing performance in general. I'm trying to get more bang for my buck and I don't wanna buy a whole bunch of fragrances that disappear an hour after you spray them. I'm not necessarily talking beast mode in your face fragrances just great performers.

Bvlgari Aqva Amara. Love this stuff. Cheap, unique, AND performs fantastic.

Jacques Fath Pour L'Homme. It's a simple amber/tonka combo with a little cedar and raspberry to round it out. I prefer it to Feve Delicieuse.

I'm a huge fan of these, priced under $25 at discounters, but I'd recommend them even at full price:
    - Curve (yes, Curve!)
    - Hanae Mori H.M. EDT
    - Montblanc Individuel
    - Bvlgari Black

If you bump the budget up to under $50 (when purchased from online discounters):
    - Dior Homme (dapper!)
    - Castile, by Penhaligon's (this one is currently my all time favorite scent by any house at any price)
    - Endymion, by Penhaligon's (wear it on dates and you'll be glad you did)

Standard disclaimer: Just because I think something is great doesn't mean you will, but I'd never recommend anything because it's cheap. I recommend these because I think they're great, and the fact that they're cheap is a bonus. In my opinion, if something isn't worth buying at full price it's usually not worth buying at a cheaper price either because it's easy to waste a lot of money in small increments on stuff that isn't great.... and who wants a wardrobe full of stuff that isn't great? $20 here, $20 there. It won't seem like much at the time but it adds up faster than you think, and life is too short to waste your time wearing garbage. But cheap doesn't mean garbage. It just means an increased chance of garbage. Here's easy proof that cheap can still be awesome:

You're so right about the correlation of price to the likelihood of bringing home something mediocre. But I was glad to see this post looking for the bright spots in the lower prices. I have a sort of schizophrenic cabinet that has a little bit of everything from my go-to Creeds and Cartiers to Pinauds and Canoe. Sometimes on these forums there is a dose of snobbery that hangs around like the time I tried Joop! and couldn't wash it off even with dish soap. My aunt who raised me and allowed us one luxury, perfumes, used to say that just because we were poor didn't mean we shouldn't smell nice. Glad to see some respect given to those well-made scents available to all.

The term ‘inexpensive’ would have to be defined e.g. $5-$15. If that’s the case I’d say Denim original and Vermeil pour Homme.

Agree, "inexpensive" is a loose term that could mean many different things to different people.

From my collection, I would say these are quite long lasting and yet still classed as inexpensive, especially if you look around for best price:

    - AdG Profumo (can be had at a good price from some retailers)
    - Aramis classic
    - Cacharel Pour l' homme
    - Chanel Antaeus
    - Trumper's Eucris EdP (can be had at a good price from some retailers)
