Ginvehchy Gentlemen vintage juice. Thierry Muggler A*MEN comes to mind when smelling this minus the chocolate gourmand notes. Wonderful stuff.

A compelling observation. Coinciding with a drift through my collection of Patchouli family members. Givenchy Gentleman Vintage was part of my teenage experience that my view of this herb.was altered.

And, y'know, this juice is very good. A bit too "scented candle"-y for some, maybe, but this gourmandy, fruity tobacco thing is still a few notches above the typical tonkabacco thing with enough of a throwback vibe to make it stand out.

I got it secondhand, but you can get full bottles and samples from sixteen92.com. They have a lot of interesting stuff, worth checking out, as well as the thread on the house here (my inspiration to check them out):

Vintage Aramis Havana. Between this and vintage Tuscany, I'm really eager to try the vintage version of the eponymous Aramis.

Yeah, I'm really impressed by it. A gem hiding in plain sight.

On occasion, Marshalls will have a sampler set for English Laundry that includes four of the house's fragrances. Might be a worthy pickup.

Too true! I got a vintage Kouros in the mail yesterday, let my wife smell it on my arm, and she exclaimed "the smell of youth". Our youth, anyways. Vintage scents can be very comforting.

But I have to be careful or I can get going down the rabbit hole of hunting down vintage bottles...happened about 2 years ago to me. I don't regret it, and I'll always keep them, but I rarely wear the scents of yesteryear.

I wore Dior Homme Parfum to work today. I have tested this against DHI, and initially, I found them to be fairly similar. However, after wearing this more, I see it differentiating itself more and more. The dry down is especially nice IMO. For the longest time, DHI was my favorite bottle in the collection, but I have to admit that DHP just has something extra special in the dry down.

At this point, I am about 14 hours after application and I swear I am getting a scent that smells like gingerbread cookies coming off my chest. LOL! That kind of surprises me a bit, because most of the dry down was a very nice leather/oud type of scent. The performance of this is outstanding, to say the least. Magnificent all the way around IMO!

I wish that Tauer used these types of amazing ingredients, naturals that are so awesome...it has desert air in it, the space, the magnificent herbiness...This was a very limited edition for American-Perfumer.com. They are commissioning these from some amazing American perfumers. I am glad I bought it, it is a prize.
