Default Kilian Fragrances - A Starting Point

    Hey All,

Recently I've taken an interest in the fragrances on offer from Kilian, I'm not familiar with the brand and only got to know them through this board. What I was looking for is a good starting point of the "must haves" from this perfume house. Ideally I'd like to test them before buying due to their cost (the "travel" sets look fantastic value).

Would anyone be able to point me in the direction of maybe 3/4 that I should look to get samples of??

    Thanks,
    My Most Complimented:

    1). Aventus - Creed
    2). Sauvage - Dior
3). Allure Homme Sport - Chanel
    4). L'Homme - Prada
5). Acqua Di Gio Profumo - Giorgio Armani

Bamboo Harmony is a nice one.

This. Arguably Straight to Heaven and Back to Black are the houses most popular with the third spot being Intoxicated, Apple Brandy or Single Malt. Again this is IMO. Maybe step out and grab an Incense Oud or Sacred Wood depending on taste.

Incense Oud is nice, but rather weak and short lived. I've also tried Back to Black and Straight to Heaven, but haven't been impressed with any of those. Naturally I am not that keen on seeking them out at this point.

I've read good feedback about Splash of Lemon, Cruel Intentions and Single Malt from other members here.

Straight to Heaven (or the newer and stronger Straight to Heaven Extreme) is probably their most popular fragrance.

    Others to sample.....

    If you like boozy scents....
    Single Malt
    Apple Brandy

Back to Black (but it is too femme for some men, as it smells much like baby powder or baby wipes)

    Intoxicated

I definitely agree on Back to Black for sure. I love the mix of honey and tobacco. I prefer A Taste of Heaven than Straight to Heaven, perhaps because I'm a bit of an absinthe nut, and I find it a bit more fresh and easy to wear - at least as far as boozy scents are concerned.

Ordered the following from Scent Samples:

    Back to Black
    Straight to heaven
    Intoxicated
    Vodka on the Rocks

Just have to wait until they arrive now

Has anyone used Scent Sample before btw? Maybe I should have asked that before placing an order....

Scent Samples in the UK? They're legit, but it sometimes takes them awhile to fulfill orders.

Scent Samples are good and have 10-20% discounts on regularly.

Not sure where about in the UK you live? But since By Kilian now owned by Estee Lauder, they have opened counters in larger House of Fraser stores. We have one in Belfast and they are good at giving samples if you get to know the staff. Apple Brandy is boutique only as I was told when I asked.

Thanks for this, I'm from Durham but frequent Newcastle, Leeds and Manchester often so will make sure to call in and see if they have opened a counter within any of these.
