4711 disappears on me even faster than Mugler Cologne, so that should give you some indication as to MC longevity. It's better - but only marginally so. But you can buy a gallon of 4711 for like $20, so - splash or spray away, and re-apply every 10 minutes. :-)

I think throwing your bottle of 4711 in the fridge will likely give a similar sensation - and may not be a bad idea on a scorching hot day. I keep my fragrances pretty cool in a walk-in closet with its own AC unit (but not quite 32F like in a fridge) - and even then I think spraying nicely cooled Neroli Portofino on a hot day feels really refreshing. So you may be on to something here, lol. Or do like the Japanese and improvise your own version. Roll up a few damp washcloth size towels sprayed heavily with 4711 and keep them in the fridge. I may actually give that a try myself - sounds like a nice idea - it's only May but my days are already in the 100F+ range.
Yep, I agree with the reviewers here. I think I'm picking up more on the soapy smell than they are but that's fine: it's a nice clean scent.
It's probably not going to blow anyone away, but for me Patrick is definitely bottle-worthy.

Yep that's what I was thinking! 4711 up some white washcloths Japanese-style...or maybe just scent them with lemon juice...either way...

I have some friends who rave about your part of California: they own 2nd homes there, or rent them there...it's 100 degree, but I guess it's gotta be healthier than LA!

I drove through Phoenix once on a long road trip from Chapel Hill, NC to San Francisco...opened my car door at a gas station and it was like opening an oven door! Too much for me man! First and only time I've ever seen outdoor air conditioning.

The only other time I felt heat like that was at an art festival way out in the Nevada desert (it's famous AF now: Burning Man) I went to in 2003.

It was so damn hot, you were better off sleeping most of the day and hitting the events at night...it was a lot of fun, techno-hippie Disneyland...on the way back home we took a dip in Lake Tahoe which was just the best cold-water bath ever...we came back to LA totally rejuvenated.
I had a tremendous burst of creative energy for weeks and weeks afterwards. There's something strangely purifying about that deep hot desert...

Regarding Patrick, I blind bought mine about a month ago after receiving recommendations on Facebook, Redolessence Reviews, and reading up on it. I love it. All of the adjectives used to describe it are what I like most fragrances. Patrick is one of my favorites and is a Top 10 for me, along with Paco Rabanne Pour Homme, Quorum, Eucris, and Fahrenheit. Lest you think I'm only about oak moss, I'm also a big fan of MM's At the Barber, Creed's Royal Mayfair, and Lacoste Booster.

Anyone knows any store in EU where I can buy it?

I smelled this recently and have to say, it's really a perfect Irish Spring/Oakmoss style of scent. It's simple, but it executes flawlessly. For that green, soapy oakmoss smell, you needn't look any further than Patrick.

This is my SOTD because of the resurrection of the two Patrick threads. I find this to be a very nice daytime scent for the upcoming spring and summer season. It's nice and clean smelling scent with average longevity and good projection for the first hour or so. After five hours it was a good skin scent and I just reapplied it to finish out the evening. Well worth its budget friendly price.

I find less is more with Patrick and about 2-3 sprays is all I need to get a nice air of green fougere goodness all around me. FOI have done a stand up job in creating an easygoing classic fougere idea without the inclusion of oakmoss as an actual ingredient. A great green soapy scent for when you’ve just got out of the shower. Just booms off the skin. The scent is really comfortable and somehow feels like home.
When people ask what does a masculine scent smell like, just tell them Patrick. He drinks Guinness, does God’s work and smells like the forests of Ireland.

I recently ordered it from Ebay (store in Ireland) and got it shipped to Copenhagen.

Patrick of Ireland is really a green beast with a soapy touch to it. I'm a huge fougere lover and Patrick definitely hits all the right spots for me. It's not ground breaking or niche quality, but at the low price that you can get it I think it's a really good fougere.

    Reaction to Patrick.

Person with jumper pulled over her face "OMG, what is this? It stinks"
"It's a classic style, fougere. It smells like Irish Spring soap once the top settles down"
"You smell like an old man that sits next to you on a bus"
"It's called Patrick by Fragrances of Ireland"
"So this is how he drove the snakes out"

Thankfully I've developed an ignore button over the years.

If you love irish Spring soap, this is a pretty safe blind buy, it literally smells identical. It has massive projection in the first 30 minutes or so, and then good longevity for hours to come. It's quite linear, and just very soapy and green. I bought a sample at first for maybe 8-10 bucks, a 5 ml, which is a horrible price, since you can get 20x that in a 100 ml bottle for under $40 via Ebay sellers.

Patrick Cologne is a very good one.Real nice scent, good performance and priced how premium fragrances should be priced.
However I disagree with the Irish Spring comparisons. To me it is orly a little like Irish Spring.
Patrick is kind of green and earthy where as Irish Spring is green and fresh.

It was 16F degrees this morning in Buffalo, so I over applied Patrick at 7AM...home at 6PM and still get wafts.

Good performance on 10 sprays (which is usually crazy for me) but at the price of this why not?

About to blind buy Patrick as I am sure I will love it but the descriptions (soapy, green, fresh etc.) do match (imo) a lot to Sir Irisch Moos but noone?! mentions this in comparison......
Anyone who can compare this to Irisch Moos and explain the differences (not being redundant) as I already own the edt and multiple aftershave bottles of Irisch Moos. Is it maybe the pine like smell in Irisch Moos which Patrick does not have?
    Thanks in advance!
