Default Dior Eau Savage Parfum vs Dior Fahrenheit

    Hello Guys

I own the original Fahrenheit and the recent Eau Savage EDT version. I have my eye on the newest Parfum version of them and would like your opinion on them as well as if you had to pick between them which one would you go for

    Thanks

I couldn't pick between them, and own them both. Avoid Fahrenheit Parfum if you can't handle sweeter perfumes, though.

From what I remember when I had Eau Sauvage Parfum, Eau Sauvage Parfum just all around awesome manly, classy smelled great. Shame they discontinued the 2012-2016 formula, I read mixed reviews about the 2017 version.

2017 is great imo. It’s more fresh upon initial application but after about a half hour it smells quite close to the vintage. It’s not as dense but definitely more versatile. I love both

Both are great, but nothing can beat Fshrenheit

Since we are entering summer probably will get Eau Sauvage for now, is there much difference between the 2017 version and the vintage, also is there much difference between the EDT that I already own and the EDP

Sorry for the double post, but just noticed your question.

The 2017 version is more versatile, and smells more like the EDT version. You can definitely smell more citrus in it. It performs far better than the EDT however.
The 2012 version of Eau Sauvage Parfum is a cold weather only scent for me. It bears almost no resemblance to the EDT version, whatsoever.

I think the 2017 version can be worn in all weather, but probably not on a steamy hot summer day. It's one of the best reformulations ever made, and one of the best male fragrances made in the past 5+ years IMO.

ESP 2017 > current Fahrenheit > ESP 2012 > Fahrenheit Parfum. Modern Fahrenheit has very lacklustre performance

however, Vintage Fahrenheit > ESP 2017

If I understood right, If I own the current EDT I shouldn't get the 2017 EDP since it'll be redundant, whereas the pre 2017 EDP is different

of Eau Sauvage? If so then no they are quite different to me, more of a heft to 2012/2017 EDPs

ESP 2012 was only discontinued in Europe, wasn't it? And ESP 2017 is a cracking smell, see the comments above and elsewhere. I've not read any bad reviews of the 2017 as far as I can remember. I prefer the 2012 version though as it's more to my taste.

That is not the case at all. The current Eau Sauvage EDT is a joke in terms of performance. The 2017 EDP far surpasses the EDT in overall quality and smell. Like comparing apples and oranges.

So you own Fahrenheit and ES EDT and want to know which EDP to add.

That's an easy vote for the new ES EDP for me.

Regular Fahrenheit doesn't need any beefing up whilst Demachy's revisit of ES is an instant classic!

ESP by a mile. One of my favorite of all time. I do own a like the other, however

Thank you guys, lots of useful info. With regards of the performance of the "modern " Eau Sauvage EDT, I have been using it since the late 1970's , quit using it for about 30 y , and now got nostalgic about it and restarted, but I remember that even back then the performance was not the greatest.
