Default Salvatore Ferragamo Tuscan Soul /Scent Quintessential

Are you familiar with this line? What are your thoughts?
I ordered (yesterday) Terra Rossa blindly because of the low price (60eur on Notino).
While it didn’t arrive yet, I discovered almost the whole line in a Douglas store today, so I quickly tried them all on paper.
The standouts for me where: Incense Suede, Terra Rossa and Bianco di Carrara.
Terra Rossa reminded me of Patchouli Imperial from Dior, but more wearable (PI was too harsh to my nose). It might be a little redundant in my collection because of Coromandel, but I’ll keep the order as the Chanel is so elegant I only wear it on special occasions.
Bianco di Carrara was really nice in the opening, probably because I smelled the vetiver (I’m so lame at picking notes and describing fragrances). I wish that stage lasted more because the fig became dominant after a while. Still nice though, reminded me of Santal Massoia from Hermes – not as milky, more fresh.
Golden Acacia was a honey bomb. I can’t stomach honey.
Punta Ala is like a “regular” designer fragrance.
Convivio started really interesting (horse stable), but I can’t smell nothing on the paper strip now.
The others (except Vendemmia which they didn’t had) were a little feminine to my nose, so I won’t comment.
Overall the presentation is really nice – worthy of an exclusive line, while the scents are very natural to my nose. I would say they are not ground breaking creations, and the full price (165eur/75ml on Douglas) is kind of high.
For 60eur though, especially if you can sample them first…

Thanks for your impressions of these! How is the concentration / how potent or long lasting are these?

I own Incense Suede, which I like a lot. A good incense, with a leathery touch. Excellent. It lasts very well on me.
I enjoyed some of the others too, but not enough to buy at regular prices (though eur 60 would be a good deal). Terra rossa, as you mentioned, warm, spicy, but not over the top; I thought the name was indeed spot on. I liked a lot Golden Acacia exactly because it was over the top, a very honeyed sticky, sweet tobacco drydown. But I have already Acqua di Cuba so it wasn't really unique. I enjoyed Convivio, greenish and vegetal, but like you am not sure of longevity. And Vendemmia, sweetish green, the top recalls the Caudalie eau de vigne line, but it lasts longer.

I think they're EDPs, forgot to look.
I only sprayed Terra Rossa and Bianco di Carrara on skin. TR lasted a good 7-8 hours, while BC maybe 5-6. They're both still there but they're skin scents now.
I'll probably receive TR two days from now and I can give it a full wearing.

Tuscan Scent line is EdP and I believe Tuscan Soul is EdT.

Thanks guys. This line is a little hard to sample. Terra Rossa sounds good, but I've been more interested in Incense Suede for quite some time.

There was a sample pass of the line done here on Basenotes -- within the last two years, I think. Should turn up in a thread search.

I own two from this line: Incense Suede and La Commedia. Both excellent. I run a split of Incense Suede in 2015, it was a hit.

I do not agree with the "ZERO STRENGTH" comment above - both Incense Suede and La Commedia are super long lasting (18+ hours) and project on par with most Amouages.

I should really explore the rest of this line...

    Hednic:

yes, this is (or was) Ferragamo's exclusive line. Two lines, actually, Tuscan soul and Tuscan scent. Tuscan scent (which included Incense suede, Acacia and Mimosa) had three or four perfumes and was priced a little higher than the soul line which had 6 to 8. I tried them at the Ferragamo store in Firenze. Not sure what their current status is. I stopped by the Ferragamo store here in DC last year and they had three or four but I don't know if they still have them. If you are interested, perhaps you can call them.

My guess is that they didn't do as well as some other exclusive lines.

Yes. Tuscan Soul (clear bottles) has 8 scents and Tuscan Scent (black bottles) has 4.
Incense Suede seems to be widely acclaimed.

Maybe the tuscan Edp ones (scent) are strong but those EDT ones are worthless.
