Default bleu chanel edt vs edp

i have edt...i like the smell but is very soft...the edp justifies the purchase in terms of smell and performance difference? what changes between the 2 mainly? thank you.

I like the EDT most out of EDP and P. I feel like it is loudest with the crisp citrus. EDP and P get deeper, richer and closer to the skin. I think EDP is the BN favorite though.

    For me it did.

I tried both EDT and EDP and went with EDT. The lighter version of the composition and I think it works better that way, but there are others on here who prefer the EDP. I have not tried the new 'Parfum' version, which is a confusing name. I will eventually get around to it, but frankly, Bleu de Chanel is just a middle-of-the-road designer scent. Nothing highly special about it IMO. It's good enough to buy, but it's down near the bottom half of the rankings in my collection (but bear in mind that I don't really buy something unless I really like it, with only a small number of exceptions.

The EDT didn't work with my skin (turned to an ammonia smell), but the EDP did. The fortified oils rounded off the edges and smelled really good on my skin. I got a sample of the Parfum tonight, so will test it out either tomorrow or this weekend. I gotta say though, on the strip of paper earlier, it didn't seem to be much different from the EDP. So, we'll see.

I guess to answer your question - go for the EDP for sure.

Concurred - I've seen this exact question a swathe of times over the last few months.

To answer OP's question directly, EDP is far better in terms of scent and longevity for me on my skin. Try it out in the shops first, it's easy enough to come by.

    Yep, many of these.

I prefer the strong citrus top of the EdT over the, for me, demure EdP. No longevity issues with the EdT.

EDP is more natural and positions Bleu EDT to be just another A&F Fierce clone. There are some who like the Fierce approach quite a bit . . . so there you go - differences. Just have to test for yourself and decide.

And don't forget to factor in the newly released Parfum version of BdC before making your decision.

the parfum cost too much and from the firsts reviews is similar to edp and have low performance.

From a personal viewpoint alone, the EDP has both a better performance and also manages to smell richer and more complex

I actually might like the EdT the best. Though I did smell maybe the EdP again recently on a strip in a store and that was pretty good.

Though my memories from the EdT may be 'outdated', and I don't know if I'd enjoy it now as much as I did before.

I had the Parfum and sold it (same with the other two). It'd be more likely I'd keep it if I could actually smell it without having to like waft my shirt. Basenotes are nice, don't really care for the opening.

on me edt had 1.5 hours...the edp could last more... ?the price could be giustificated the purchase?

For me the EDT has pretty good performance both in terms of longevity and sillage... I only tested the EDP from a sample, but performance(on my skin at least) seems similar to the EDT... the difference is mostly in smell, the EDT having a fresh vibe, while the EDP is more refined, more suited for evening/cold weather...

That's really weird.. I have a 2016 EDT bottle and it lasts about 5-8 hours on skin, and +3 days on a t-shirt...

Are you sure that you bought an original bottle/sample? If you just tested it in store, it might be that you hadn't applied enough juice...

Same here. My EDT is a bit older (2013-2014) but the performance is good. I have the “refillable travel spray” which puts out a fairly voluminous shower of fragrance so that may be a factor.

For the record - I’ve worn the EDP on at least 4-5 occasions and I prefer the EDT by a wide margin (my family members feel the same way). For me the EDP is not bottle worthy while the EDT is one of my most worn scents due to its excellent versatility. It may not be my top dog but it never lets me down regardless of attire, situation, weather, etc.

I prefer the EDT. I've got an original bottle, and haven't sampled whats on the shelves now, but I see people saying it's been diluted. No bueno.

I get close to 12 hours out of the EdT with my normal 5 spray routine. It's one of my best EdT performers.

Like to hear your thoughts on the parfum. I personally love it. Getting back to the thread the EDP and Parfum work best for me. I do not like the harshness of the EDT

    Parfum Over EDP over EDT

EDT is very pedestrian. EDP is good and parfum is niche quality good.

I get 8-10 hours of longevity with above average projection with both edt & edp.
The edp has more woody feel to it
