Default With Armaf discontinuing what to buy as extrras.

With a lot of Armaf fragrances appearing to be discontinued. I am stocking up on a few bottles.

Derby Club House Blanche - SMW clone
    Craze - Pegasus clone
Tres Nuit - GIT clone but better IMO

I may pick up another bottle of:
Club de Nuit Man - 1 Million clone

I would pick up another bottle of CDNIM, but I already have quite a few Aventus clones (including the real thing).

I wish I could find De La Marque Brune which is a clone of Allue Homme Sport Eau Extreme, but I'm not paying $95 for it, I'll buy the real thing.

I may pick up another bottle of Tag Him, but I am not a huge fan of BdC like some are.

Sucks for those that buy this stuff, I’d rather have the real actual fragrances for stuff $150 and up there are splits to be had to make it affordable.

Heard rumors about them going out of business and/or discontinuing fragrances. I can't see it. They must be making a killing. They are quite well thought of as far as that end of the business goes. If they were going to discontinue a few of their line up I can't see CDNI being one of them. Just wouldn't make sense.

I don't think Armaf will stop making fragrances, they might discontinue some of them.

I'm starting to be very careful when buying Armaf fragrances. I've been sold a few that clearly were repackaged and tampered with. The giveaways are scratches on the bottles and boxes that look worn at the flap creases. They appear to have been opened and closed numerous times and that's after removing the cellophane wrapping!

Another thing to look for is if the atomizer sprays juice on the first pump. All new bottles need to be primed once or twice before any liquid sprays out.

My last few bottles of CDNI Men were very weak and I returned them. If you notice the reviews, you'll see one reviewer state their bottle is strong and another with the same month and year batch date say their bottle is very weak. My guess is that many bottles are repacked and being partially refilled with water. Both bottles of CDNI Men I returned had torn cardboard inserts in the box, one had it's cap off and the atomizer assembly was loose to the touch. Both were purchased from well known discounters. The last from Amazon direct (not a 3rd party reseller). They gave me credit immediately.

One bottle of Craze I returned not only had a heavy alcohol smell when first sprayed, (juice came out on the first pump), but the bottle had deep scratches and there was a black particle floating around inside the bottle. Just look at this package of CDNI Men I received from Amazon last week. Note the placing of the medallion on the CDNI Men and look at the box flaps. Once again, liquid came out on the first spray and it's VERY weak. There were also nicks (not seen in photo) on both sides of the bottle. The 2016 batch I bought last year looks newer than the bottles I've been receiving, as does the condition of the box.

I don't order fragrances from Amazon, way ore fakes than ebay. I only buy from ebay sellers with really high feedback ratings and sellers that have been selling on ebay for a long time.

The last few Armaf fragrances I received from ebay I opened them and smelled them to see if everything was ok. No problems with sprayers or bottles. All boxes still had cellophane wrapping on them, but I have been checking them.

The cellophane wrapping is meaningless. The first giveaway is the condition of the flap creases on the box. The next is if liquid sprays out on the first pump. Last of course, is the scent and the condition of the bottle.

I don't trust the feedback ratings, either. One way to build them up is to sell very cheap stuff when first starting out (pencils, pens, etc) and then change the types of products on one's store. I bought the bottle of Craze from an Ebay seller with great feedback. When he returned my money, I received an email back. Guess what it said? It said, "please don't give me negative feedback". I imagine most don't who get their money back. Remember, too that many who buy fragrances off of Ebay haven't a clue about reformulations, top notes, middle notes, basenotes, etc or even clones. They all think they're getting legit bottles.

The two bottles of CDNI Men I returned several months ago were purchased from an Ebay seller who also is an online discounter. The feedback ratings were in the tens of thousands and fantastic. The bottles weren't so fanttastic and were returned.

The fact that people would tamper with cheap clones on such a noticeable level as this is flabbergasting. Either it’s someone in the supply chain siphoning off juice for who knows what reason or the company itself looking to squeeze more profit.

Neither of which make any sense as they had their cheap thrills niche that they seemingly filled well with lots of happy customers who want something almost but not quite at a commensurate pocket money price. So with that said why would they screw up their own income like this? So bizarre and yet another reason that I’m not keen on clone shenanigans myself and generally avoid them as they just don’t hit that spot and therefore are money wasted, not saved, when you look at it my way but your mileage can, may and should vary.

Just like the contents of Armaf bottles it seems.

I corresponded with someone in Europe who sells perfurmes and who gets his Armaf bottles from (I assume) an authorized distributor. He said he compared to the 2016 formulation of CDNI Men to several 2017 bottles and didn't see any difference, yet if you read reviews on Fragrantica, many complain of weak scents and complain of reformulation. I think, like myself, they all received bottles that were tampered with.

I'm also a member of the shaving community and there are reports of counterfeit double edge blades which normally go for a buck a pack. Where there's a buck to be made, some will try anything, even with cheaper clones. Remember that there's a worldwide opioid crisis and in the USA something like 1 out of every 7 citizens has a substance abuse problem. What easier way to make buck is there than a quick Ebay sale?

This is a bottle of Armaf Craze I returned to an Ebay seller and received a refund for. The Ebay seller wrote back to please not provide negative feedback (that's why I don't trust the Ebay feedback ratings). Note the scratches etched into the bottom. No fragrance house would package a bottle like that. It was not only weak, but had an strong alcohol top note, the first spray resulted in liquid, and there was a black particle floating around the bottom of the bottle. The writing was also starting to wear off on the top cap. These are all signs of a used bottle.
