    Hi,

I have an 18 batch and it's still as strong as my older decant.
Has great longevity on my skin and I can still smell it the next day.
I can't make out any differences in the fragrance.
My opinion, it's still good :-)

Haven't personally heard that this one has changed, but can't be sure.

Dior are one of the few houses that are upfront about when they reformulate.
For example Eau Sauvage Parfum (2012) and Eau Sauvage Parfum (2017).
I think it’s ok in this instance to assume it hasn’t been reformed.

It's been discontinued apparently, not reformulated. A Dior rep tonight confirmed this to me.

It’s a nice fragrance but not wearable in all situations mainly all year is an issue. That was my main issue with it, quality niche level stuff though no doubt.

Hm, I might be in the minority then. I had a first year or whatever release batch and that was strong stuff. Recently got a '17 batch and it did not seem as potent.

Maybe it was my nose, or maybe there was a reform, /shrug. But I had kind of given up on DHP at that point - also because you can simply pull out the entire tubing mechanism by just pulling on the atomizer head... that's crazy.

It has been reformulated. Mid 2014 and earlier is what you should try and get. If you go searching you should be able to find one. I have two 2014 backup bottles and I even found 2 1.7Oz bottles of vintage 2009!

EDIT: check out this thread here http://www.basenotes.net/threads/436...(2017-bottles)

Also, Dior are really open with their reformulations. They have a "formula number" so instead of decoding their batch numbers to find the year, look at the bottom right corner 05443/A is what you should be after.

2011 vs 2013 both have same formula number

Late 2014 and onward have 08666/A which I wouldn't get.

You are talking about DHI here? OP is asking about DHP which only came out in 2014.

Yeah, and she believed that there would be something coming to replace both it and Fahrenheit le Parfum. Possibly with the same names?

I have four back up bottles of this stuff so I'm quite prepared for it - and you never know, any replacement might be better to my nose!

It's as wearable as you make it, as with anything else. Horses for courses, but I'll wear this casually.

The formula code on the box hasn't changed, although I did think that my second bottle smelt weaker initially than my first. But after it had been open for a while it soon seemed to bloom.

The issue with the bottle sounds to me like you just happened to have a faulty one. I've taken the heads off bottles of DH, DHI and DHP without any issues.

This is DHI of course, as already mentioned. I don't think any versions of DHI are inferior in terms of quality of scent and ingredients, Dior seem to use high quality stuff in their fragrances and their reformulations don't seem to me to be cost-cutting exercises. Think it's just down to personal preference as to which one smells better to me or you.

My mistake, but my info still stands. Just ask someone with an early version to post their "formula number" and compare that number to that of DHP 2017. If the formula number of a 2014 is the same as a 2017, then its the same.

If the 2017 has another formula number, then I'd suggest researching what changed. If it only lasts less but smells the same, I'd get it. My oldish DHP lasts sooo long, longer than I'd ever need it to last, so a small reduction in duration wouldn't be a big deal to me.

This isn't discontinued, but it now has limited distribution. It's available on Dior's French site, but not the U.S. site.
Rare, vintage, and niche off-site sales.
    Big list of niche splits.

I've seen a 2018 bottle with the same code, so the reformulation rumours are bs.

Maybe the older batches have become stronger with time or people's sense of smell to the fragrance has accustomed and developed?

Recently bought a 2017 batch code bottle and it's still nuclear strength. If there have been any changes it's too subtle for me to detect.
I previously owned a 2014 batch a few years ago and the new bottle smells remarkably similar.

Not always we can blame the fragrance for reformulation. Sometimes even our nose tend to get reformulated as we get older and we start smelling fragrances differently
