Didn’t catch the under $100 part sorry.

You can get SMW for under $100 for the 1 Oz and it would still be my top choice.

    I’d also try:
    Entebaa
    Dareej
    Al Wisam Day
    Allure Homme Sport
    Guerlain Homme
    A*men Ultra Zest
    Colonia Assoluta

Great choices on guerlain and ultra zest,
But still not sure if they are better than d&g the one

I think CH Men Prive is pretty bad. But the others are quite nice. And most other people seem to think CH Men Prive is actually decent - I am in the minority on that one.

You do know, that the fragrance in the bottles available in stores now was not made in 1981, right?
Even if all the bottles at your store were made in the 80’s, you should not fret, as you could make a fortune selling vintage Kouros to people
And yes, you can have a fragrance past 15 years, I have several bottles that are 15-20+ old and they smell great!

Yes, Acqua Di Gio Absolu at a moderate price. For smooth and beautiful, at about $100., Lalique Noir Premier Fleur Universelle at $100 more or less, fragrancenet (putting up with fragrancenet hangups, of course

The D&G The One is nice enough. CH Men Prive looks better than it smells. No experience with the Armaf. Btw just so you know none of them smell as good as old man Kouros!

I think you'll do fine with The One, that was a good choice. But you should have gotten AdG Absolu as well, I think it's just what you're looking for.

I own CH Prive but I really don't think it's very good. Beautiful bottle, and maybe nice if you don't have a ton of experience with fragrances. I think it's fine for the average guy who has a couple bottles and wears fragrances here and there, but after you've been around the block a few times CH Prive is just okay. Not bad...but not so great. It's pleasant enough though.

I'm not familiar with the Armaf.

Great choices already and congratulations for the purchases so far, also adding Rochas Man and Aquaman, Tasmeem by Rasasi, Baldessarini EDC, Gucci PH II, Burberry London-most of these both affordable and great value for money, thus mostly safe even for blind buys (even though particularly Tasmeem, Rochas Man, London would also be highly appropriate, if not more so, for colder weather as well)

Guerlain Homme Intense if you like rum and rhubarb. Great "evening" version of the original.

Acqua di Parma Mandorlo di Sicilia. Sweet but not absolutely gourmand. Can wear feminine or masculine but oftentimes garners a compliment from both. Suits the 'cosy summer nights' bracket nicely.

The One EdP is a good shout but I found it fairly fleeting on skin.

La Nuit de l'Homme is one that will come up time and time again. Don't worry too much about reformulations, from 2017 onwards it's performance was back on track after a brief spell in 2016. Either way it lasts longer on me than The One did.

If you want to jump up the price bracket, Widian I is an absolute behemoth and suitable for summer nights. Parfums de Marly Layton is also a strong performer and has garnered compliments on me from both sexes.

Yes indeed, most are and while on the sweeter side, still quite usable and even enjoyable for a summer evening, at least with fewer sprays and for slightly cooler summer weather, particularly for romantic wear.

But not all of them are gourmand nor sweet and with this, also discussing Gucci pour Homme II more extensively- this one is, at least by on personal impressions and to my nose, quite fresh, non-sweet and on the versatile, inoffensive side, making it quite easily one of the all-rounders if not even the most easily adaptable choice from the recommendations list above.
