Default Pour Monsieur Concentree vs Pour Monsieur vs Tiffany for Men

I've been enjoying vintage Chanel Pour Monsieur Concentree more lately. I had paid attention to it less because it suffers from comparison to the regular, vintage Chanel Pour Monsieur, and from comparison to Tiffany for Men.

I think of Pour Monsieur as a perfect oak moss fragrance, and I think of Tiffany for Men as a perfect amber fragrance.

Pour Monsieur Concentree is somewhat of a cross between the two - an oak moss fragrance with vanilla. For my tastes, I like it more than Tiffany for Men. I don't like it as much as Pour Monsieur, which is one of my three or four favorites, but I like it more the more I wear it, and I get surprisingly positive reactions from other people when I wear it, at least compared to the mixed reviews I read on this site.

I never had the opportunity to smell Tiffany for Men so I can't comment on it but I am, as you, a lover of the vintage Chanel pour Monsieur . It's class and elegance in a bottle and one of those that I will always have in my collection. Because I am absolutely not a fan of the vanilla note, I never considered the Concentree version as an option and never tried it . Few months ago, I purchased a pack of used fragrances on eBay, one of these being Chanel pour Monsieur Concentree... So I tried it and I must admit that , unexpectedly, I am enjoying it and, as you said, liking it more and more as I wear it ! Very good surprise (and my wife is loving the smell on me).

For me also - much more.

Vintage Tiffany for Men is certainly an Ambered Powder scent, however I find the Polge Sandalwood Magic is the star in this one, Masterpiece.
Vintage Pour Monsieur, like Bavard, I think, is an Oakmoss, Woody Chypre Masterpiece.
The Concentree with it's Vanilla, never grabbed me.

I think it’s very good and quite underated, Tiffany I only had a quick smell of it, but I know Vercace l’homme which I don’t like much. It brings that Chanel elegance and poise to the genre

Pour Monsieur vtg all the way. I have PMC and Tiffan y and rarely use it - more of a "I spent money, so better use it" scenario for both PMC & Tiffany.

Oops I bought this by accident when I wanted to find regular vintage PM.

The mixture of vanilla and oakmoss is quite odd to me. It doesn't quite gel. Has an extremely vintage feel because you could never throw this much real moss into juice from the big frag producers these days . . . but the vanilla is off-balance somehow.

Now I'm really excited to try vintage PM, as the oakmoss is what I was after!
