Thread: Kouros base

    Default Kouros base

    Hi all!

Was smelling Kouros, and really like the "raspy" and powdery musky dry down you feel with the civet. Anyone has any ideas on what is could be? Thanks in advance!

As you say the civet is of course a big part of the scent, but the civet note is not the one I think of standalone. The dry down has this raspy, powdery, musky yet fresh scent mixed with civet IMO. Of course it could be civet just affecting something or vice versa, but I reckon it is some musk and something else too.

The smelly part of Civet is the skatole. The musk part of Civet is Civettone. It is a beautiful long lived musk. Perhaps the longest lasting musk.
I've not worn Kouros too much, nor do I have a GC. But I'd look at other animalic musks, and also at the Animalis base.
