Default Late night spritz for a boost?

Whenever I'm working late, I like to give myself a spritz of something which perks me up...a bright day scent. I just hit myself with some Cedrat Boise by Mancera because I've probably got another hour ahead of me.

Anyone else ever do this when they're up late and want a boost?

Absolutely! I usually do it when I get home from work unless I'm wearing an absolute powerhouse fragrance.

The AdP fragrances are particularly good for this as they're refreshing but fade (relatively) quickly. This also goes in their favour on hot days where you might want a top-up at midday!

Can't say I have ever done that.

Fragrances are good any time of day or night!

Even a quick spritz or two after a shower before bedtime, they always lift my mood. And I tend to wear whatever I fancy, so long as they're not powerhouses.

I need to try more of those... I've sampled one and liked it.

Agreed, I love an evening spritz even if I'm not staying up late.

A late spritz is also a great way to investigate the base with a fresh nose in the morning. And a heavy application can yield a strong base in the morning - sometimes an entirely new fragrance.

Yes, I like using aromatherapy feeling more awake, alert and energized too. Or, to help have more focus, or for relaxation, or for relieving anxiety, depending how I'm feeling. I was using the Orange-Ginger scent from Bath and Body works aromatherapy line, the body mist. (For helping to feel more alert, awake and focused early in the morning, or late in the day as a pick me up.) And also, Sugar Eau de Parfum in "Lemon" from the Fresh fragrance line. I really love that one! I also love the Eucalyptus-Tea scent from the Bath and Body works aromatherapy line too. I currently use the pillow mist in that scent, sprayed on my bed sheets. (I also love using the body wash in the same scent.) I personally feel like it is very soothing, and does help with getting a good night's rest. Sometimes I have issues with nightmares (not always but occasionally) and I feel like using the aromatherapy linen spray probably helps with that too, as the scent helps keep me in a positive frame of mind. (Probably even while I'm asleep!) In the past, I've also used Atelier colognes in at least a couple of their citrus scents as aromatherapy too (Orange Sanguine isn't bad.) Yesterday, at Sephora I spritzed "Jour D'Hermes" on my wrist too, since I hadn't tried that one yet! It's also a really great citrus scent that I think would probably work amazingly well for aromatherapy too! It's quite strong, and on me the scent lasted for forever as well, so you might want to consider trying that! Some of the other ones I've mentioned fade out a lot faster and are much lighter scents, so the Hermes one might be better. I noticed they have a few citrus type scents actually. I adore their bottles so I really think i need to try more!

Absolutely. I do it for the reasons you cited but also because late in the evening is often the time when I finally get to see my wife; it’s a good opportunity to see if she digs certain scents.

Penhaligon Bayolea’s lemongrass note is great at cutting through the late night fog, that’s for sure. If scents fail you, there’s always BURPEES.

If I choose to wear another scent shortly before going to bed then absolutely.

Sample Passes were another exception in order to get sampling impressions done in a single day.

I do my samples in the evening too. In this case, I'm thinking of those nights where I'm sitting down at my desk to work around 10 pm for two or three hours. I'll choose a scent that reminds me of daytime or something bright and citrus to trick my brain into alertness.

Re: spritzing mid evening - I usually do an extra round of my SOTD as a reward for getting through the day and a pick-up before evening chores.

Re: before-bed scent - for a long time now, my next-to-last step has been to pluck a sample out of the bowl on my dresser. Sometimes it's random, sometimes I'm looking for a particular one. It's a last blast of sensory discovery to follow me into sleep. I do believe it gives me better access to remembering my dreams, too.

Nice reward! I usually pick a different mid-evening scent from my SOTD. I do have a few high potency frags, like Slumberhouse Ore that will last a whole day, but most of them seem to have pooped out by the time I get home around 6:30, I'll pick something new to suit...either chilling at home vs. going out for dinner, my mood, the weather, etc.
