    Default Creating Rose Stem Accord

Any ideas how to best create a fresh, green rose stem accord? Im guessing coumarin, c-6 hexanal? Any other good suggestions?

Welcome to you Aromas Del Cielo. Enjoy your time here at Basenotes! Just a suggestion - you might want to re-post this in the DIY Forum where experienced perfumers would be better able to answer your question. Good luck.

"Tea Rose" by Perfumer's Workshop does a pretty good job capturing the smell of rose stem and leaves.

Thanks everyone, I have stemone also. I might try messing around with that. I don’t know, smelling these ACs at full concentration really turns me off of them hahaha. I need to try in dilution

Here's a green accord I made to extend rose leaf absolute and make it more of an all round rose green note. It is pricey due to the rose leaf absolute but gorgeous. It could be a good starting point:

I have used this in a rose base at 2% - the base has a lot of high impact materials though so bear that in mind.

    150 Rose Leaf Absolute
    125 Syringa Aldehyde
    100 Styrallyl Acetate
    25 Cis 3 Hexenol
    10 Triplal Extra
    5 Cis 3 hexenyl acetate
    3 Neobutenone alpha
    2 Corps Racine 1%
    580 Triethyl Citrate

The large amount of rose leaf would make this suitable to be used directly as a green note or to naturalise a more chemical-based one. I use a lot of natural isolates (cis-3-hexenols etc.) which also helps make it natural.

This accord needs warming to liquify.
