Is there any that take a heavy oriental or chypre approach? For example similar styles to Derviche and Chypre-Siam from Rouge?

Maharaja Oud is no slouch either but faces stiff competition in an increasingly crowded genre. Somehow I’m not moved to sample L’Anima della Rosa, Iris Machiato nor their latest Ryukyu.

I agree this house’s strength lies in its vegan-friendly animalic orientals. Their lighter No.15 didn’t generate as much fanfare. I used to get their samples at less expensive rates with next door shipping from Malaysia. After their success with Miyako they started raising prices and priced shipping charges at flat USD rates which I find utterly ridiculous since Singapore is just a car ride away.

Anyone knows if the newer batch of Miyako suffers any reformulation? I’m keen to pick up a bottle if it is still as good.
Diamondflame I own Mayura, which I prefer to Miyako precisely for the baroque quality, from the first issue and it is stupendous. I picked up another bottle during a sale, and then when I received the notification it was going to be vaulted, I picked up two more. These last three are second reissue and from what I can tell smell extremely close to the first issue. There seems to be less of the animalic heaviness, but certainly no great difference. Only what can be expected from a new batch of similar natural ingredients, not a deliberate reformulation/bastardization.

While doing some cleaning and organizing of what samples I have, I actually have one sample from Auphorie - Eau de Nyonya. I guess I could give it a wear

in the ones I have smelled, there's no chypre or traditional oriental. They are mostly florals.

Eau de Nyonya came off as more gourmand before the florals started to emerge.

Just got an email about a new perfume, Bing Ma Yong

    https://auphorie.com/products/bing-m...11260286926884

I'm not sure how a perfume inspired by an archaeological excavation of terracotta statues is supposed to smell like, but the concept could be interesting.
I'd guess this will be different from Guerlain's terracotta inspiration.
