Talking An interesting read, and concept, eggplant in perfume?

    http://perfumeshrine.blogspot.com/20...of-season.html

I don't know how I stumble on this stuff. I never really noticed if eggplant has a distinct scent. Guess next time I'm preparing it I'll have to smell a piece, obviously when no one is looking.

Freshly cut aubergine smells a bit like banana to me.

    To me a little also.

Smells faintly of fresh rhubarb to me. The sense of smell is so idiosyncratic!

l'm really hungry now after reading that mouthwatering article, thanks Steve!

l agree with the banana smell on slicing the fresh aubergine, but most of all l adore the smoky, earthy scent & taste of a decently salted & fried one. Food heaven!

Not a fan of eggplant, so I don't think I would like it in a fragrance. But hey, you never know.
