Default New marketing for Parfums D'Orsay

It looks like their old lineup is entirely gone: Le Dandy, Chevalier D'Orsay, Arome Trois, and the others.

They last launched two scents with Middle Eastern themes a few years ago, but the older scents in the "ink well" bottles appear to have gone.

    Your thoughts?

I don't understand that website. All 5 of the body fragrances are out of stock.

They just launched three new ones about a month ago that look like the bottle below. They are called: SP, TJ and SC

Not entirely, Red. If you look under, "Manifesto," they have a version of the Comte d'Orsay story.

And, yes, they entirely redid the site and apparently got rid of their old line.

I see bottles of Arome 3 and Etiquette Bleue going for less than € 30 apiece. Clearly they have ditched the old lineup. Are these fragrances still FBW, possibly post-reformulation?

I don't quite understand why they got rid of their historic stuff, instead of launching the new fragrances as a separate series or line. What a shame. Wish I had gotten that bottle of Tilleul now.

I never bought into this House

...Dandy was wearable at best imo

They seemed to be living on their 'history' too much, so 're-inventing' themselves might be a positive in this case

Are they readily available in the UK?

Not sure about the new releases but the older stuff has only ever been available in a few select outlets here. I purchased Le Dandy in Fortnum and Mason but I think they ceased stocking D'Orsay a while back. One or two are currently going for a very reasonable price at Rouiller White if anyone is interested.

What a bizarre website. A bunch of photos that show absolutely nothing and a video of two headless androgynous bodies opening a black box and ringing a bell.

    J.R. indeed!

The Rouliier White site has the old 1940s illustrations when Parfums D'Orsay was very popular and launched Arome 3 and Chevalier. The name of the illustrator escapes me, but he was a fashionable illustrator who made the images in the 1943 "history" booklet that promoted the house.

The new price point of 141 Euros is far over what was charged for the 100 ml bottles of even the newer EDPs.

I really like Arome 3, but the others from the house never grabbed me.

Now I did notice anywhere which sold d'Orsay did not seem to have any stock of Arome 3 for quite a while it just seemed to have disappeared.

    This explains it.

Le Dandy of the 1990s (when the company was based out of Rue Marignan, I seem to recall) in the EDT was very sparkling with a whiskey note.

The EDP, gutted thanks to IFRA, lost the oakmoss. I liked Chevalier because it reminded me of what my father wore in the 1960s. I also liked Arome 3.

The older ones from the 1990s had striped boxes, then the newer line had the same colours but no stripes.
