I'll have to check that out next time I'm near a Lush store.

And thanks for the info on the donation proceeds - all issues I have strong opinions about, but since I have no end of opportunities to get into the weeds on those issues in Facebook comment threads, I'll leave those aside for now, and stick to my strong opinions on fragrances. On that note, I must admit that I found the "macaron" note in Mein Herr Marquis to be really nasty and chemical-y - I didn't even put it on skin because the smell was so strong just out of the tester.

Was really pumped to see Moirai make a comeback, my vial of the oil was running low. After sampling roughly 40 from the house, that and Supercell are my favorites, and I missed out on that reboot earlier this year. Baba Yaga is also up there so I nabbed a travel spray of the Parfum too. I wish everyone offered 7.5ml sprays.

Jux, have you tried Last Exit prior or was this blind? I think it (in oil form at least) has possibly the most realistic tart green apple note I've smelled in any fragrance. Fun stuff.

Moirai really is fantastic. If anyone finds the notes appealing, I think it's blind-buy-worthy.

You're right that 7.5 ML is a great size. It's really all that I need these days considering how every morning I struggle to choose one scent among my collection.

Aeromancy is the only one of the three that I have tried a sample of previously. My notes on it (which were just for myself, not a review) said "Wow. Beautiful. Candied rose. Cool metallic breeze." The other two...both Vlad and Last Exit were blind buys for me, but I have a good feeling based on the notes, and how many of her frags that I've tried, that I would like that. Really happy to hear that you like Last Exit. I've been looking for a fruit-forward summer scent that wasn't citrus-centric.

Ordered some items. 7.5ml bottles of Moirai and Shout at the Devil. 2ml samples of What's Your Damage, Sometimes You Just Gotta Say WTF, I Wanna be an Airborne Ranger, and a 6ml bottle of Save Ferris. I forgot to add a sample of Vlad. I should get the gift as well since my order was over 50 after the coupon code.

I'm trying Cruel Summer this morning, (thanks to a very generous "donation" from a super Lady). Slightly salty, milky coconut, mild light green note. Warm earthy note like clean earth or sunbaked earth. Rocks or sand? I'll have to go outdoors to discover more of its character...

Not a strong fragrance, this one, compared to a lot of others I've tried. The subtle, tanning oil accord is pleasant...

I smell a mild amber, much later, on the skin.

Shout At The Devil... Waxy, pink rose lipstick. Creamy white flowers. Vanilla. Hints of cinnamon. Faraway incense at first, then it increases later. I smell something like ylang ylang. More nag champa. A light sandalwood or nutty smell. Overall, not too over-the-top.

It is very low key! I think it would probably be more interesting as a parfum. You got a lot more notes from it than I did.

In spray form, I would imagine one would get more intensity and projection. As an oil (sample) it was very much a skin scent.

Nice! Congrats. I'm getting the same set. The biggest quirk that you have to accept with this artisanal house is that it takes her a long time to get the shipments made and out the door.

Conium Maculatum... A dry, somewhat powdery flower. A pale sweetness. There is a faint, old book or linen smell. Odd. A "darker" musty flower which might be the lavender, follows. A stale, woody, leaf note way in the background. Gentle. Subdued. Iris, takes over. It too, is subdued and almost ethereal...

Iris steps aside and a musky, little animal note comes into play...

...A slight, woody thing appears much later. Overall, not bad - safe...

Heads up, y'all. Basenotes has finally fully fleshed out the SIXTEEN92 perfume listings. There are 111 scents under that house now listed...so if you've had one in your collection that you couldn't add yet, you probably can now. I'm very happy about that because I've been waiting since January for I MADE MY FAMILY DISAPPEAR to be added.

In other news, I sampled the Dark Parfum collection set and passed it on to jkonick. He'll be getting it in the mail later this week. 9 samples! Pretty great set, finally, of the spritz parfums instead of the extrait oils. He and I are going to coordinate our reviews on it so we don't bias each other posting our notes.

Pour Some Sugar On Me... sent to me by Kitty2Shoes... Best. Peach. Note. Ever! Hyper-sweet fragrance, in a good way. Raspberry has not only the fruit but, leafiness, green, hints of the stalk / cane part of the bush. Freshly squeezed orange juice. Carnival cotton-candy in pink color. The mango is hidden betwixt the other sweets. Good stuff!

All right! So starting off with the first two parfum versions of the Dark sample set, which came with one bonus sample. Jkonick will be posting soon after me his opinion.

    Cotton Mather
Official Notes: Blackened patchouli, woodland mosses, sweet herbs, dried helichrysum, woodsmoke, lamplight, ink, ash and flame

It opens like fresh yeasty bread with aged patchouli and a touch of smoke. Really nice fall scent opening. It's dry and mossy too. A nice blend of herbs are integrated. It’s salty like ambergris. The woodland moss becomes even more prominent over time but is also very pleasant. It’s like a deep swamp in the forest with an earthy sweetness. I really like this one. Good longevity and silage. This is a likely buy for me in the future.

    Last Exit for the Lost
    Official Notes:
Orchard apples, woven wood baskets, dried hay, distant chimney smoke on cool air

Beautiful and fresh. It’s like walking through an apple orchard at its peak of harvest with snapped fresh green branches and leaves, fresh tart apples and apple mash and roots of trees exposed with raindrops moistening the earth. Not too sweet at all. Modest hay and wood wupporting the Apple. Really delightful. Modest silage and longevity but love it. I've already purchased the full version of this.
