Default how do I know if the "gold" sold to me is real gold?

Is the color gold hard to fake? Is there a way to know by look or feel? I'm not much of a jewelry wearing person but I'm trying to get some real gold that isn't processed, whether an amulet or whatnot. I've read gold has to be processed because it is soft? Who knew metals could be soft?

I would like something that has a reference (by symbol or whatnot) to Ancient Egypt or the Anunnaki.
Earn $25 when one friend makes a purchase. They'll get $10.

You need to have it assayed.

You need to go to a certified jeweler and have it tested. Here's some information: https://www.wikihow.com/Tell-if-Gold-Is-Real

This. There are some pieces that just have some good coating of gold and you would never figure out it was not pure gold unles the piece breaks and you see the core of it.

It is supposed to dissolve in a mixture of 1:3 parts of nitric acid and hydrochloric acid, if my high school memory serves me right.

You need to get it assessed professionally, lol.

If you scratch gold it should remain the same colour where scratched.
