Default Matching deodorant to fragrance overpowering?

I wear Polo Blue as my signature and am considering buying the deodorant as well but I am concerned the combo will be overpowering? Especially at the gym when I will be sweating a lot (apply a splash or two of Polo Blue plus rub my armpits with the deo when I wake up in morning before heading over)

Do you all think matching designer fragrances is overpowering or is it the percentage move? Do some of you prefer to wear a fragrance and then a modest deodorant that won't interfere with the smell, if so any rec's?

    Cheers

Deodorants don't really project that much, so I wouldn't worry. Heavy perfumes can be a problem at a gym, but that's not the case for deodorants.

I wear unscented deodorant so I don't have problems with any fragrance. You may want to consider that as an alternative. If you want Polo Blue to project more (or less) you should be able to control that with number of sprays and where you apply.

I also agree that fragrances at the gym is generally a no-no, unless you just can't avoid it.

Or just wear your deodorant to the gym and apply your fragrance after you're through at the gym and after your shower.
