    Default Light woody autumn scent?

Hi. I am pretty new in the forum and English is not my mother tongue, so please apologize in advance if I canít explain as well as I would.
For four years I am using Channel Allure ed Blanche and I love it. I love itís refreshing sweetness. I would like to try something different, some light woody scent for cold weather. I live in a small city so I would need something easy to find.
I have a delicate nose and for me is hard to find a scent that I can tolerate. I need something natural and no overpowered.
    Some ideas please?

Also adding Cedar Woods by Woods of Windsor, along with Derrick by Orlane- both quite inexpensive as much as good quality

Something not overpowering, woody and vetiver-y and certainly autumnal for me is Dsquared2's He Wood Rocky Mountain Wood. No sweetness to be found.

An inexpensive that I would suggest would be Diptyque Tam Dao. Includes Sandalwood, cedar wood and brazilian rosewood.

Wow--I love the brand (and Tam Dao) but it is interesting to me when Diptyque at $135 for 100 ml is considered inexpensive.

Pino Silvestre? Possibly easy to find...nice pine smell (although not a listed note) with basil and sage.

    A light woody/herbal blend.

I really like Mont Blanc Presence for a light woody fragrance. It's in the same vein as DSquared Rocky Mountain wood which I also own.

Remember, we got ourselves some six and seven figure earners on this forum that clear out catalogs of entire houses when they spend their quarterly bonuses, so for some folks burning a $100 bill on a purchase is like you or me dropping a $10 spot at Five Guys for a burger. No hate to anyone of course, we all work within our own coloring lines, unless you color outside of them like me.

Anyways, my suggestion would be L'Occitane Eau de Toilette (2005) or L'Occitane Eau des Bavx (2006). Both of them have a nice wood backbone without being a campfire. Best part? Both are between $45-$60 USD for 100ml

To the OP, you can get Rasasi Woody and Lalique's Hommage a l'Homme online for decent prices by anyone's standards online for most of us. You don't say where you're based but hopefully this will be the case for you too. Both are classy and smell like they're worth a lot more than what you pay for them.

Neither of those should cost more than the Chanel. And I wouldn't describe either of them as being heavy.

I presume the Edp... I haven't tried it myself but have seen great reviews. One reviewer thought this was something close to Creed Royal Mayfair which, of course, features eucalyptus. I'm excited to try this Diptyque soon.

I find Royal Oud by Creed to be woody and natural.
Don't know about the small city part though.

We had few colder days already and I was very excited to wear Amber Oud by Patricia Nicolai. Slightly woody but highly natural I find.

Royal oud is the best i've tried. It's safe, cozy, pleasant. Not overpowering at all, yet it has excellent Longevity. I can't praise this enough for it's scent, but then there's Creed prices...That's really up to you if you think it's worth it.

Those notes would be for the EdT. No rosewood in the EdP. I prefer the EdT as it’s airier. The rosewood, cypress and ambergris give it a slightly floral, more effervescent feel. The EdP is heavier and milkier. The EdP is probably a truer sandalwood, but I disagree that the EdT is just cedar.
    1. No, never blind buy (I do, but do as I say, not as I do. I'm taking no responsibility for your fragrance gambling).
    2. Get them both. You're a Basenoter and you know you're going to end up purchasing them both eventually.
    3. Yes, it has been reformulated.
    4. Looking for a signature scent? You've come to the wrong place.
