Nobody?
Hello friends. I am sorry for my spelling, I do not speak English so well. I have a few questions. I love and respect Italian perfumes very much. My favorite fragrance is Trussardi Uomo, the old version (1983), but unfortunately it is very hard to find since it was interrupted. Could you recommend a fragrance similar to Trussardi Uomo? I love this kind of perfumes. This elegant and mafioso direction. 😀 And do you have an insider tip for me about Italian fragrances that not everyone knows that is good and strong and has tradition? What do you think about arrogance Pour Homme and the Frenchman Oscar De La Renta Pour Lui? Thanks in advance!![]()
Hi,
Try out 1881 by Cerruti (the older the better, but current is okay).
When layered with vtg TU, they really go together so well. Worth a try.

I don't think you'll find anything that's currently in production that will smell similar to vintage Trussardi Uomo.
The only fragrances that I've heard smell similar are also discontinued: Fendi Uomo, and Leonard Pour Homme.
About a year ago I got Trussardi Uomo off of ebay. I think I got it for $80.
Vintage Leonard Pour Homme is close but no cigar

It, like nature, does not give a shit
Ouch... Trussardi Uomo is one of a kind... Maybe the best spicy leather fragrance I've ever tried. If you like this type of fragrance, although not as leathery/powdery, Arrogance pour homme is a nice alternative. It's more patchouly-centered and slightly sweet (but far from what people consider sweet nowadays).
I think you should give these ones a try:
- Bogart pour homme (signature)
- Van Cleef & Arpels pour homme
- Monsieur Musk
- Lancetti Uomo
I found also arrogance the closest one.
1976 - Yatagan Caron
1977 - Snuff by Schiaparelli
1981 - Kouros YSL
1988 - Fahrenheit Dior
1980 - Patou Pour Homme
1987 - Lapidus Pour Homme
1981 - Quorum Antonio Puig
1985 - Derby de Guerlain
2014 - Dior Homme Parfum
1987 - Ho Hang Club Balenciaga
I always detected a certain relationship with Maxim's Pour Homme. It's also discontinued, but can be had for good prices.
They both present a bit of a cacophony off the bat, but end up make judicious use of florals within a very "80s" masculine cyphre structure, softening it just a touch. The Trussardi is spicier and overall. Their leathery-mossy-musky-patchouli bases seem to be close relatives.

Possibly also, to an even more limited extent, Salvador Dali pour Homme (albeit not Italian yet close in style and also darker, smokier, more herbal as well and perhaps not so smooth nor formal in comparison to vintage Trussardi Uomo)
