There once was a girl named Super
Iso E to her friends, what a trooper
So as not to get bored
    She formed the Grojsman accord
And is now a full-time Goofy Goober

    An asnomic woman named Dot,
Cooked perfume up in a pot
    Using civet as leaven
Told it stunk to high heaven

It sounds like she acted in haste

    Better to send

Dot lied when she said it was buried
Said that only 'cause she was hurried
    By screaming mad neighbors
    Lambasting her labors
She shopped it before it turned furried.

    Today I'm wearing Versace L'Homme
Just a little spritz, working from home
    It's so vintage, so strong
    It lasts all day long
It smells great and even worthy of a poem

My girl asked me to wear the L’Homme
I thought ‘the Versace? that’s a bit strong’
She said “not that, the Prada!
    You smell like my father.
Scrub it off or we won’t get along.”

A man from the Nantucket choir
Hid a fragrance ( hung from a wire)
On a bush rife with thorns
Full of stabs he now mourns:
"Brought new meaning to Nantucket Briar".

There was a perfumer, Roger Starling
Who liked to call everyone 'Darling!'
    He wore a long cape
    And silk roller skates
But knew nothing at all about farming

Today it was Etruscan (or Tuscany) by Aramis
It's a fragrance so perfect, there's never a hair amiss
    The opening's bright,
    The citrus just right
And the lovely dry down, I couldn't bear to miss

    Limericks I shouldn't compose,
With a noxious smell in my nose.
    But this one was easy,
    I no longer felt queasy

Oh, thanks for the tip on the Kurkdjian
Getting a sniff of that rose has become the plan
    For me, the “d’s“ silent
    Otherwise it’s too strident
For modern perfumers, some think he’s the man

    You are quite welcome Bevard
    Armenian names can be hard
Think silent 'D' as in Djedi
And you always can get by

I remember that perfume called Tramp
And it wasn't the scent of a vamp
    Nothing like Shali
    More like back alley
    With the hairspray note overamped

A fruity animalic, huh? I should try it
If it helps with the cuties, I'll buy it
If the goat piss is light,
    I should like it alright

Fast? Lemme tell ya my friend
Light is slower, and may also depend
    On top quarks and sillage

Gimme a Chypre or Fougère any day
Touch of sweetness or fruit still okay
I’d rather smell green, fresh or soapy
    Than pissy and goaty

Apologies, it was the 'shake' and the 'booty'
In your name that made me go goofy
    You're more vintage 'Z14'
    Than Rabanne 'La Nuit'
More green & rooty than frisky & fruity

Deep from the back of my stash
I pulled out an odd vintage splash
    A dihydro macho
    With a metal lime glow
It instantly grew me a 'tache

I'm wearing my Bleu de Chanel
EdT, and it's running out well
    Only one in five left
    But my 10-ounce's heft
Reassures me how I'm gonna smell.

    Imagine a frag called 'Limerick'
With a delightful smell of lipstick
    Made with fine orris
    And endorsed by Chuck Norris
Do you think it will be a hit?

I think Chuck would be good for the ad
And orris is certainly the fad
    It should work a trick

Better make sure the juice isn't bad

Who would have guessed that among us
    Dwelled Bavard, a limerick genius?
    Not just with the rhyme,
    But the meters all chime!
While my own, alas, are egregious.
