Tom Ford Bitter Bitch. This dark reddish brown is a good dramatic color but it shows chips too easily. I'm finally going to bin it!

I've been playing around with some of my cheaper bottles, especially since I wanted to wear some pastels for spring. As we all know, pastels often have bad formulas, and that is generally the case for my collection so I tossed a couple of bottles.

I've been wearing my nails short, and using 2 colors, going 2-tone on my set of fingernails, such as wearing colors on alternate fingers. But now I'm back to wearing just one color on all ten

    Orly Hillside Hideout

I'm glad I hung on to this one although the formula is a little thin because now that I've had it a while it's thickened up and I can finally see the gold shimmer in it.

Revlon Desirable-- a light metallic pink. Fingers and toes. I like doing my nails on Sunday before the workweek begins.

Revlon Optimistic: in the bottle looks magenta but on me seems to go a little orange-ier and more of a dark coral with my skin tone for some reason.

From the photo I agree that looks coral, not magenta on your fingers, but it does seem nice with your skin tone.

Thank you very much. At first I didn't love it; I think I just was expecting a truer magenta and not the orange-yness, but now that I'm used to it I'm ok with it. My boyfriend complimented me yesterday on it, stating, "Your nail polish still looks good." It was one day later so I was like... "What do you mean, still? I just did it yesterday." LOL. And he was like, "Oh, Well it was a compliment; I just thought it usually started chipping after a day or two." And I'm like .. "well usually more than one day lol." He tried .... he gets an A for effort.

For the first time just about ever, I wanted to wear yellow nail polish. Now I know yellow nail polish was briefly in fashion a couple of years ago, but I don't really pay a lot of attention to that. Everyone knows that yellow is the least popular nail polish color and some brands don't even make yellow nail polish. I thought I didn't have a real yellow nail polish in my collection but two golds. I got them out and have decided that while Pure Ice (the old Walmart brand no longer made) Goldilocks is a real metallic old gold, the Revlon Colorstay Gel Envy Jackpot I use as gold is really a bright yellow shimmer. Having pale skin, yellow doesn't really go well with it, but I used Goldilocks and Jackpot with OPI Sweet Carmel Sunday (a light brown brass color) on my thumbs in a modified ombré, sort of, not gradient, but a different shade every two fingers, so it looks better across the paleness.

Hadn't painted my nails for ages, but today I finally did! Picked up Illamasqua Radium, an almost neon bright green shade of new leaves.

Yellow cremes tend to have pretty gnarly formulas. Zoya Daisy has a subtle shimmer and a great formula, and is still available.
