getting a very good longevity and projection from all these, at least based on personal experiences after multiple or at least occasional applications of either, even if the list were constantly updated and extended way beyond 20 names alone, these ones would still remain high up among the personal staples of undeniable, undisputed beast mode performance (s)
    Great list Ken!

Man, your whole review was so funny and awesome. I really hope you get paid to review fragrances, cause there aren't many better than you.

Anyhow, these two were especially prescient as both were signature scents for me for awhile. I was not aware of the Le Male connection to the gay nightclubbing scene until many years after I had stopped wearing it. In hindsight, I must have been an idiot not to make that connection. Especially since the bottle was a gift from my then-GF (now wife)'s gay best friend!

edit: to add, how can any list of beast mode colognes of yesteryear not include JOOP!?? Do that one too! Do that one too!

    Well, I'll mention a few...

Maison Kurkdijan Absolue Pour Le Soir - this is too beastly, never had the stomach for it.

Moschino Uomo? - back in the day, I don't know if it has been reformulated and/or weakened.

Joop! Joop Homme - still a killer.

Mona di Orio Le Nombres d'Or - I get the idea, but just not my thing.

Costume National Homme - you overspray this if you want a lot of space for yourself

Givenchy Xeryus Rouge - even the reformulated version is very potent.

Boucheron Jaipur Homme - very potent.

Mugler A*Men Pure Tonka - very, very seet and strong.

Amouage Silver Cologne - supposed to be a "sport guy" frag, except it reeks for meters and meters around you

Azzaro Visit - I don't know about today's version, but when I used to own it, it was extremely potent.

Old Spice/Early American Old Spice (1937-1980's Shulton era)You couldn't help but recognize this on a guy, and it cast a 10 ft radius circle on anyone using it, like your very own Expectrum Patronus of spice. Can't account for new stuff.

English Leather (1949-1980's MEM Inc. era) Stuff like Knize Ten was first, but original vintage English Leather could burn the nose hairs off a man from across the street.

Pino Silvestri (1955 to current) Guys in Italy must have been sorely lacking pine forests, so they invented a fragrance that when worn by a significant enough portion of the population, could make all of Italy smell like Norway instead.

Aramis by Estée Lauder (1965 to current) Aramis is the Chanel No. 5 of men's cologne and parts crowds like Moses parting the red sea. Still potent in modern form.

Jovan Sex Appeal (1976 to current) There were more refined and aromatic things in the 70's, but nothing says "My chest hair is a game preserve" from 500 yards quite like Sex Appeal.

Bogart Furyo (1988) Sadly discontinued, this scent had ads that looked like Judas Priest album art and smelled of irradiated nag champa sticks dipped in Godzilla's pee for a quarter mile in all directions. Wearing this is banned by UN in most countries.

Le Mâle (1995 to current) With a bottle that couldn't possibly have more innuendo in it's shape, this was the gay club air freshener of choice for the next 20 years. Trust me on this one.

Paco Rabanne 1 Million (2008 to current) When you, your girlfriend, her best friend, and the designated driver at the keg party absolutely must smell like you rolled around in those foil-wrapped chocolate oranges, for the next 72 hours.

Dior Sauvage (2015 to current) The cologne of choice for the man who wants to smell nothing but grapefruit potpourri on dried ice, nor let anyone else at the office, local Starbucks, or the subway car on the way home smell anything but grapefruit potpourri on dried ice.
    As usual, inspiring and brilliant.

    Boucheron Jaipur pH EdP
Robert Piguet Casbah. Shower the next day, and it will still be there after.
Etro Heliotrope. Break sweat wearing this seemingly innocuous floral that smells like ice-cold marzipan and emulsion paint, and it morphs into beast mode. Radiate.... not fade away. Not recommended for evenings out involving dancing.
Rogue Perfumery Mousse Illuminee. I felt self-conscious walking across the supermarket car park wearing this.
early December - in the bleak midwinter, cold or animalic : CdG Zagorsk; YSL Body Kouros; Jacomo Jacomo de Jacomo; Dior Fahrenheit; Tom Daxon Iridium; Hermes Hiris; Etro Heliotrope, Messe de Minuit; Knize Forest; Hiram Green Hyde; Papillon Anubis, Anglique; Mona di Orio Cuir; Tauer Lonestar Memories; Francesca Bianchi The Lover's Tale; Serge Lutens La Couche du Diable; Lalique Encre Noire

Beast-mode for me must have the combination of superb longevity and projection. Many of the previous mentioned I would not consider to beast-mode IMO. Here is my list of some of what I consider to be nuclear but not necessarily what I enjoy to wear:

MFK Oud Satin Mood Extrait - (The EDP was already beastly, but this is ridiculous. Two sprays and it leaves a trail that can be smelt for hours after the person has gone!)

Areej le Doré - Ottoman Empire 1 or 2

Amouage - Interlude Man (The Blue Beast) Non-magnetic cap.

    Nasamatto - Black Afgano

Tom Ford - Tuscan Leather (Vintage, not sure about current versions)

    Arabian Oud - Kalemat Black

Amouge - Beach Hut Man (Another one from Amouage)

Rogue Perfumery - Mousse Illumineé (Manuel has created a monster here that fills a house!)

    Montale - Intense Café

    Mancera - Red Tobacco

MFK - Oud Silk Mood Extrait

Thomas Kosmala - Après l’Amour (If you enjoy BR540, you need to try this but it is much beastlier!)

The World in Scents - Peace (OMG, what did Mark put in this?)

Frédéric Malle - Portait of a Lady (vintage)

    Amouage Lyric Man (Another Amouage)

    Orto Parisi - Terroni

Tauer - Au Couer du Désert

Unsure about Dior Homme Parfum, longevity definitely but projection, maybe not so.

Montale - Black Aoud (Did it really need an "intense" version?)

Roja Dove - Fetish (Parfum concentration) I believe that this could easily last an entire week!

Abdul Karim Al Faransi - Amber Ash-Sheikh

    Hmm, let's see...

    Amouage Beach Hut
    Amouage Epic Man
    Amouage Reflection
    Creed Aventus
MFK Grand Soir (not sure why some complain about performance, it's strong stuff - 2018 batch)
    MFK Lumiere Noire
    Montale Greyland
    Nicolai New York Intense
    Parfums de Marly Layton
    Rasasi La Yuqawam
    Roja Danger Parfum
Sospiro Erba Pura(a bit feminine leaning, fruity nuclear bomb)
    Tom Ford Oud Wood
    Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille
Tom Ford Patchouli Absolu(stronger than TV)
Xerjoff Mefisto(if you like SMW and want better performance, try this one, it's 2-3x stronger both longevity and projection)

    a few designer frags:
Hermes Terre d'Hermes EDT (yup, it's stronger than EDP)
    Dior Sauvage EDT (same)
    Thierry Mugler Pure Havane
