Default Mancera Cedrat Boise weird juice

    Hi everyone,

The other day I bought this perfume and I'm just realized that the juice is a bit suspicious... It's like there's dirt in it. I've never seen anything like this before. If any of you have this Mancera, could you please tell me if this juice is normal?

P.S.: longevity is good enough, performance is okay (not beast mode, tho) and smells great too. I think it might be an original one, but that juice makes me feel confused, it's way too... "dusty". What do you think?

    Thanks in advance.

My original Cedrat Boise bought at the time of release does not look like yours. If it smells fine to you and performance is good I wouldn't worry about it. By the way welcome to you Cosmictones! Enjoy your time here at Basenotes!

Did you shake it up prior to the photo? Or is it stable at that look? The stuff looks homogeneous and if it doesnt settle down to the bottom or looks variegated , I would say it is fine.

Thanks so much for your responses!! :-)

@debussychopin, no, I didn't shake the bottle at all, and it doesn't settle down to the bottom neither. The stuff looks almost static, yet it moves very slowly through the bottle.

This kind of 'dusty substance' is extremately small, though it looks noticeably bigger and distinguishable in the photos.

I've come across this occasionally in bottles, perhaps it was a issue in the filtering process? It hasn't effected anything though

I''ve seen flakes or particles from some Creeds that float a bit then settle. From you're picture, it looks like a bottle had dust in it prior to the liquid being put in it. I've actually never owned a Mancera, but hope to one day. I have however, used a bottle that I didn't clean, and when I decanted it, I had shit floating around everywhere to the point I poured the juice out eventually. Is the cap able to come off? Sorry, trying not to scare you, but that picture looks like something is really off inside you're bottle. Hope this helps. Take care!

I've seen similar, although not as bad, in Cedrat Boise previously. Creed are another level though - some are positively filthy!

Somebody probably tampered with it, the top unscrews so it's easy to tamper with, they probably decanted some & tried to dilute it with something that didn't mix, i'd return it immediately. I'm guessing you bought it from someone on ebay? Also where's the label?

Unless it was actually watered down; my guess is that the juice is fine, it was just rushed to bottling. A few of these fresh, woody Manceras use pink peppercorn oil (schinus molle) in their formula. Pink peppercorn contains a lot of terpenes that do not completely dissolve in alcohol. Typically, once formulated, a fragrance is left to "rest" for a period of time to let things like this settle. It is then filtered and bottled.
If you have a sample to compare your bottle to and the juice smells the same, then it's no big deal.

But if the seller is willing to exchange without a hassle I'd rather go that route.

Could be one of those rare and limited ‘sediment edition’.

Agree those screw on tops leave plenty of room for tampering I’d get a refund and buy from another source Fragrancenet to be exact. Fragrances cost money and issues like yours happen, depending on the bottles history I’d swap it for sure.

    Hello everyone!

Thank you ALL for your responses. I bought my bottle in Notino, so, on paper, it should be original, unless something weird happened...

    Here are some new pics...

If you pay attention, you might be noticed that the flakes are still there, even if they're not seen so clearly.

I'm not sure whether to ask for the refund, since the fragance seems original, even though the projection is not as good as I thought.
