+ 1 Absolutely vintage. I finally tested my splash bottle which I believe was from the year it launched. It was nice, but I did not find that it performed very well. I had to press my nose to my arm to smell it, and it was very subdued even then. I gave it away. Maybe I shall try the current version at some point to see if I like it more. My bottle may have been "too old."
Fate gives all of us three teachers, three friends, three enemies, and three great loves in our lives. But these twelve are always disguised, and we never know which one is which until we've loved them, left them, or fought them.

Looks similar to my bottle and I purchased it a long time ago.

I had the same experience. I'm actually a little disappointed with the performance. The fragrance smells great but the sub-par performance won't make me reach for it very often.

I don't know if this is the cause of the poor performance you are reporting but the bottle shown on your pic is not vintage. My vintage Egoiste has excellent performance ( I never smelled current version).

It's not "deep" vintage but it is an earlier formulation. At any rate, I did have a decant of the 1st release and I didn't really enjoy it. I think it's rose that throws me off. I want to enjoy it. Maybe it'll grow on me.

Yes, it looks like an early bottle to me.

This one comes up in Avecesar's rotation.

To me, it's a nice, sweet, office-friendly, woods fragrance.

I've been told that it smells like a fragrance for special occasions.
