In synch with Lancôme Lavandes Trianon. Fairly straightforward lavender and vanilla combo with a gourmand bent, like a lavender-infused crème brûlée. Lovely and cuddly.
"I felt something so intense, I could only express it in a perfume." - Jacques Guerlain
I'm synching again with my sote: Rabarbaro by L'Erbolario - black tea, saffron and musk. (There should be rhubarb and lemon too, but it doesn't count if I don't perceive it, right?).
A bull in a china shop doesn't take damage. She delivers it. It's The Great Shy Purge of 2019.
Whoops, I've already started my day with Tom Ford Extreme, which is the opposite of this theme.
But tonight, I'll wear SMN Patchouli.
"It's not what you look like when you're doing what you're doing; it's what you're doing when you're doing what you look like you're doing."
Everyone smells delicious this morning - so many yummy notes.
Definitely going to do some mixing it up today with the Avon Sheer Essences. In the AM I'm going to do Sandalwood, because I share N.Cal's love for that note, and in the PM I'll do Pachouli, which I often crave, for a cozy end to the day.
The Sandalwood is big and creamy, but I thought it might benefit from a brighter floral so I'll just temper it with Peony.
The Pachouli is surprisingly less potent and I'm hoping the addition of a delicate, sweet floral might help it show its warmth, so I'll do a dab of Freesia or Lilac.
Open to other suggestions for two or three flavor mixes of the Sandalwood, Pachouli, Freesia, Peony, Lilac, and Gardenia Essences as I am not a perfumer!

Montblanc Explorer (2019)
This one uses very few listed notes, just 3 per tier.
oh look, I have a signature

”I want all the perfumes”
This Friday - kbe's peppercorn day!
Does it have to be actual black or some other pepper, or is Pink pepper also okay?![]()
1. No, never blind buy (I do, but do as I say, not as I do. I'm taking no responsibility for your fragrance gambling).
2. Get them both. You're a Basenoter and you know you're going to end up purchasing them both eventually.
3. Yes, it has been reformulated.
4. Looking for a signature scent? You've come to the wrong place.

Thank you for your answers, Zilpha and N.Cal!
I do love pink pepper quite a lot myself, so this will be easy for me.
I'll go with Lorenzo Villoresi Piper Nigrum! This was an early Basenotes darling that seems to have fallen off the radar (or was reformulated, perhaps). I received acquired a split of an early formula, so I'll give it a spin. Medicinal blackpeppery woody oriental.
"It's not what you look like when you're doing what you're doing; it's what you're doing when you're doing what you look like you're doing."
I'm going with Caron's Parfum Sacre (1990). Lemon, black pepper, mace and cardamom. I'll feel like a Scandinavian bakery.
And happy sync day to Kbe, one of Basenotes' finest gentlemen and a notable composer of limericks.

Cook.bot, you are making me want to sample Parfum Sacre. I feel like I might like to smell like a Scandinavian bakery.
I think I'll go with Terre de Lumiere by L'Occitane - probably the prettiest and most prominent pink pepper scent that I own.
I find I have various peppery options, and might manage more than one :
Black pepper : Comme des Garcons Parfum (the first one); Penhaligon's Opus 1870, Robert PIguet Casbah
Jamaica pepper / allspice / pimiento : CdG Zagorsk; Tom Daxon Riven Oak
early December - in the bleak midwinter, cold or animalic : CdG Zagorsk; YSL Body Kouros; Jacomo Jacomo de Jacomo; Dior Fahrenheit; Tom Daxon Iridium; Hermes Hiris; Etro Heliotrope, Messe de Minuit; Knize Forest; Hiram Green Hyde; Papillon Anubis, Anglique; Mona di Orio Cuir; Tauer Lonestar Memories; Francesca Bianchi The Lover's Tale; Serge Lutens La Couche du Diable; Lalique Encre Noire
I tried to search Fragrantica for perfumes with pepper and looked on threads here and didn't find much in my wardrobe, so I think I have to go with the pink pepper in Timbuktu. Was going to save that for Halloween, but close enough.

Oh, I haven't worn Parfum Sacre for ages so that will be the one.

For the sych I'll wear Shams oud. It has a very pronounced pepper noteBut will have to wait after work with that one.
Happy Basenotes day to Kbe!
I went with pink peppercorn note in Bottega Veneta. Later on in the day/evening, it will be L'Agent by Agent Provocateur that also has a pink pepper note.
No baiting/trolling. No insults. No politics. Read the Code of Conduct.
Sorry, it’s 34C/93F at the moment so nothing peppery from my collection is going to work.
love pepper as a note, so I’ll definitely be paying close attention to what everyone is wearing.

Happy kbe's day!
I'm celebrating it with honeyed pink pepper - Terre de Lumière by L'Occitane. To me it's a very lovely scent that's great all year round and fits pretty much any occasion. I sometimes see it compared with Mon Guerlain because they're both sweet, lovely, have lavender and are good all-rounders, but to my nose these are the only similarities.
Oooh, I think I saw a shelf with Carons in a local high-end perfume shop. I have never tried any Carons, so I'll start with that one. I'm hoping they'll have it.
I'm pretty much the opposite, as I usually don't care much for flowers (with some pretty exceptions, of course), but I do enjoy scents that lean oriental, resinous or spicy.
Happy kbe BN Day!
Syncing with Gengis Khan also coincides with hednic's 12th BN Anniversary today.
