In synch with Lancôme Lavandes Trianon. Fairly straightforward lavender and vanilla combo with a gourmand bent, like a lavender-infused crème brûlée. Lovely and cuddly.

Whoops, I've already started my day with Tom Ford Extreme, which is the opposite of this theme.

But tonight, I'll wear SMN Patchouli.

Everyone smells delicious this morning - so many yummy notes.

Definitely going to do some mixing it up today with the Avon Sheer Essences. In the AM I'm going to do Sandalwood, because I share N.Cal's love for that note, and in the PM I'll do Pachouli, which I often crave, for a cozy end to the day.

The Sandalwood is big and creamy, but I thought it might benefit from a brighter floral so I'll just temper it with Peony.

The Pachouli is surprisingly less potent and I'm hoping the addition of a delicate, sweet floral might help it show its warmth, so I'll do a dab of Freesia or Lilac.

Open to other suggestions for two or three flavor mixes of the Sandalwood, Pachouli, Freesia, Peony, Lilac, and Gardenia Essences as I am not a perfumer!

Have you tried Chanel Egoiste? It's another soft oriental focused sandalwood scent. Highly recommend smelling it if you haven't smelled it before.

Oh, damn. I should’ve brought my bottle of Blackpeppef back from Japan. Still, with a forecast of 31 C I’m not sure any of my peppery scents are going to be much fun to wear.

Pink peppercorn is what kbe actually has on his property, but I think any pepper would do in this case.

I'll go with Lorenzo Villoresi Piper Nigrum! This was an early Basenotes darling that seems to have fallen off the radar (or was reformulated, perhaps). I received acquired a split of an early formula, so I'll give it a spin. Medicinal blackpeppery woody oriental.

I'm going with Caron's Parfum Sacre (1990). Lemon, black pepper, mace and cardamom. I'll feel like a Scandinavian bakery.

And happy sync day to Kbe, one of Basenotes' finest gentlemen and a notable composer of limericks.

Cook.bot, you are making me want to sample Parfum Sacre. I feel like I might like to smell like a Scandinavian bakery.

I think I'll go with Terre de Lumiere by L'Occitane - probably the prettiest and most prominent pink pepper scent that I own.

I find I have various peppery options, and might manage more than one :
Black pepper : Comme des Garcons Parfum (the first one); Penhaligon's Opus 1870, Robert PIguet Casbah
Jamaica pepper / allspice / pimiento : CdG Zagorsk; Tom Daxon Riven Oak
November rotation - incense and smoke : Penhaligon's Elixir; CdG Avignon, Zagorsk; Piguet Casbah; Jacomo Jacomo de Jacomo; Etro Shaal Nur, Messe de Minuit; Odin 07 Tanoke; Unum LAVS, Io Non Ho Mani; Heeley Cardinal, Eau Sacree; Anatole Lebreton Grimoire; Tom Daxon Resin Sacra; Tauer Incense Extreme

I tried to search Fragrantica for perfumes with pepper and looked on threads here and didn't find much in my wardrobe, so I think I have to go with the pink pepper in Timbuktu. Was going to save that for Halloween, but close enough.

It's very much worth sampling. I don't usually care for scents that lean oriental or resinous, nor do I much like Caron's feminines, but Parfum Sacre is a very special spiced floral that's ideal for winter weather and for the holiday season.

    Happy kbe's day!
I'm celebrating it with honeyed pink pepper - Terre de Lumière by L'Occitane. To me it's a very lovely scent that's great all year round and fits pretty much any occasion. I sometimes see it compared with Mon Guerlain because they're both sweet, lovely, have lavender and are good all-rounders, but to my nose these are the only similarities.

Oooh, I think I saw a shelf with Carons in a local high-end perfume shop. I have never tried any Carons, so I'll start with that one. I'm hoping they'll have it.
I'm pretty much the opposite, as I usually don't care much for flowers (with some pretty exceptions, of course), but I do enjoy scents that lean oriental, resinous or spicy.
