Default English Countryside type of fragrance? Can you recommend any?

A fragrance that is green and uplifting yet is also relaxing at the same time.Kind of like walking in the English Countryside. Penhaligons English Fern would be a good example. Any others that you like and would recommend?

Possibly also James Bronnley Original Cologne, Yardley Citrus & Wood (although the classic English Lavender by the same house would fit the description at least as good), Creed GIT (although it contains the word Irish rather than English in its name, it still evokes that particular kind of picturesque British landscapes, same with Scottish Fine Soaps EDT)

Polo Ralph Lauren and Green Irish Tweed were inspired by that, more or less. In niche, I'd say english own brand Ormonde Jayne Man and Woman.

Aramis Devin is marketed along these lines, labeled a "Country EDC". Has a mossy, piney, grassy vibe.

Speaking in my capacity of being an Englishman, I would recommend The Smell of Weather Turning by Lush as it's the only perfume I can think of that takes me to the countryside if I close my eyes.

Having just got back from a long walk in the south English countryside, the predominant smell, in December, is of horse manure and wood smoke.

Haha how true! The horse manure part is what I remember most about English countrysides.

Are we talking about the countryside in the North or the South? The countryside in Yorkshire smells vastly different than say Devon.

Oeillet Louis XV (new) reminded me and my children of our time in Yorkshire in the fall/winter. Eau de Campagne by Sisley is a nice sharp green perfume that reminds me of the fresh grass in the spring when the lambs and sheep are out. And if you can get your hands on it, 4160 Tuesday's Proust Perfumes "Swann", which to me is more of a romanticized version of a walk in Regents or St. James Park.

I'm not sure if anyone else has ever been up to Mackinaw Island in Michigan (just south of the UP). But someone should create a fragrance called Mackinaw Island and it would be the combination of horse poop and fudge! There could also be a slight undercurrent of caramel corn. Didn't mean to derail. The horse poop dragged me in.

I don't know about countryside, but when I think of proper British fragrances, I think of

DR Harris Sandalwood aftershave (old world sandalwood concoction)
Czech and Speak's Oxford & Cambridge and No.88
Penhaligon's Blenheim Bouquet, Sartorial & Endymion
    Trumper's Wild Fern & Eucris
    Creed's Royal Scottish Lavender

    Vintage:
Halston I-12 (Vintage is where it’s at for this one)
+1 Bowling Greene (haven’t tried the new juice, but the vintage is solid)
Homme de Gres (Green, herbal citrus. Discontinued, but can be found on eBay reasonably)

Love all 3 and all 3 are very different “greens.”

    More Contemporary:
Sisley's Eau de Campagne (This is checks every one of your boxes and can be found reasonably online)
I have found the paradox, that if you love until it hurts, there can be no more hurt, only more love.

That's at least what they said on an old ad (from the 40s I believe), "the green scent of the English countryside".

I've been to Traverse City and Interlochen Arts Camp though. Very distinct smell of the fresh water lakes, petosky stones, loads of fresh cherry in baskets and a crispness to the air.
