    Coco EDT by Chanel
Doe in the Snow by 4160 Tuesdays
Myrrh & Tonka by Jo Malone
    No.5 Eau Premiere by Chanel
Wood Sage & Sea Salt by Jo Malone

I've taken out L'Agent by Agent Provocateur because it becomes too much of a skin scent this winter (extreme high humidity - very cold damp air at the moment) & I've also taken out Shalimar by Guerlain as I'm only picking up base notes at the moment - no bergamot, no floral notes & no vanilla or tonka bean. Hoping that it is just the extra dampness in the air that has caused some notes to disappear on my skin & that my bottle hasn't turned! Looked for a tester while out shopping recently but couldn't find one to check & compare.....
Also added in No.5 Eau Premiere by Chanel as a reference/reminder for next year - it smells wonderful in the cold damp air!

    My August Rotation:

Coco Mademoiselle EDP Intense by Chanel
    Iris de Nuit by Heeley
Lime, Basil & Mandarin by Jo Malone
    Moonlight Patchouli by VC&A
Raw Silk & Red Roses by 4160 Tuesdays
    Stash by SJP
    Tiare by Ormonde Jayne
    Tubereuse 1 Capricieuse by HdP
I ended up with a Finish Focus scent in August, it was Vanille Jolie in the perfume oil version by Ava Luxe. I finished the bottle.

Not necessarily in this order due to the bipolar weather in Atlanta.

    Spring/ Summer:

    Aventus
    Aqua Universalis
    Sauvage EDP
    Masculin Pluriel
    Still Life in Rio
    Acqua Viva
    Elysium

Fall and Winter: (add these to the mix on cooler days)

    Hacivat
    Bleu de Chanel EDT
    Tihota
    Tom Ford Noir Extreme
    Baccarat Rouge 540 Extrait
    Fahrenheit (Vintage 1988)

    Polo

    Ho Hang Club
A couple bottles joined the rotation this month: Bel Ami and Egosite.

Egoiste was the scent for the Florida trip this month. Five is a nice number to pull out.

I don't think seasonally, so choosing for October has little to do with the cooling weather. September has been good. I bonded a lot with Polo. It wears quite differently with different applications. It's a high quality vintage fragrance (cosmair version), nearly on par with my very favorites, and in moments just as good.

Ho Hang Club has been amazing. It has been showing a more serious side in recent wearings. I think I could try to pull it off in the office one day, in the future. Maybe.

Fahrenheit gets compliments. I smell it intermittently. The glowing feedback is fun.

Egoiste is a comfort scent, easy to wear. It becomes a skin scent fairly quickly.

Bel Ami moved up on my list of favorites this month. I'm not sure what's different recently, but I get moments in the mid and base when I feel like it's the best thing ever.

A mix like that for October would be good. I'm going to go with 1. Habit Rouge and 2. Derby. There's been a fair amount of Guerlain chatter over the last month whetting my appetite. Adding 3. Jules and 4. Givenchy Gentleman would keep things at a high level. Looking over what I have a lot of: 5. Chanel Pour Monsieur to round it out.

Back to school and a little discipline!

Have some samples I've been meaning to try, including a lovely gift from a friend in Germany.

So, for October, I'm going to try to sample them all and record my impressions. I've been pretty slack on the perfume front recently and miss it!

    L'Attessa (Masque MIlano)

    Nuit de Bakelite (Naomi Goodsir)

    Salome (Papillon)

    Chypre Mousse (Oriza L. Legrand)

    L'Eau De Merzhin (Lebreton)

    Romanza (Masque Milano)

    Scandaleuse (Lebreton)

    Dryad (Papillon)

    Tobacco Rose (Papillon)

    Mem (Bogue)

Kiki Voile de Parfum (Vero Profumo)

    Root of all Goodness (Parterre)

Mito Voile de Parfum (Vero Profumo)

    B683 (Marc-Antoine Barrois)

    Squid (Zoologist)

    Experimentum Crucis (ELDO)

    Ma Nishtana (Prissana)

    Sotto La Luna Gardenia (Tauer)

    Au Coeur du Désert (Tauer)

    Orange Flash (Tauer)

So, that's a month of sweet and innocent florals ahead, then. Can't wait to get into them (heaven help my workmates!)

Do you have something in mind, or will you be going on a testing spree?
And does it mean that you don't consider Pamplelune as citrus enough, or are you of the opinion that one should have at least several scents of this type?

Such great questions! I have been sampling quite a bit already, but I’m not quite ready to settle. I’m sure more sampling will ensue, and I’m also open to suggestions. I’m leaning toward a lemon or bergamot citrus or a neroli-based eau de cologne. And I am definitely open to more than one, since I’ve ended three this year. As far as Pamplelune, it’s definitely a citrus, but being that it’s also an oriental in the base, it doesn’t do well in the Memphis TN summers, so I need some lighter stuff to accommodate the heat. Pamplelune has the lovable tendency to go animalic (read cat pee) in high heat, but I don’t generally choose to subject others to it. It’s perfect for fall and spring here, though.

It's nice to be able to recognize some of the fragrances being mentioned - I'll never know them all.

My October plan was 4/5ths successful. Chanel Pour Monsieur, supposedly in rotation, only had one wearing.

For November, I'll mostly be sampling, but it feels like it's time to pull out Egoiste, and Dior Homme. Hmm. Probably Jules again - sort of the fragrance of the moment. Bel Ami. And Paco Rabanne Pour Homme.

Paco Rabanne is back after a long freeze out.
