Default more love for Abdes Salaam Attars (Dubrana, Profumo.it)

This stuff seems very genuine, very clean, very real. Super original.

I am thinking this house is amazing and I don't hear much about it here.

    Any experiences?

    I'm in love with Tabac.

I agree, Dubrana is an extremely talented perfumer! He gets a lot of praise from Luca Turin in his Guide, and many Basenoters are fans as well, including myself, but I feel like his fragrances were discussed more often a few years ago. I haven't tried any of his latest work but should probably get to it!

I finished a bottle of his Morning Blossom some years ago, and really loved his fragrance Mona Lisa. It was probably my favorite when I first sampled the line.

he also ships extremely reliably and promptly. And the only issue is so many to try that look wonderful. I have a few more on the way.

    Check out Official AbdesSalaam Thread

One of the best artisanal houses, that’s for sure. With minimal fuss /hype no less. Dubrana/Salam’s compositions always has this easy elegance about them. You can throw any random combination of notes at him and he’ll find one or a few combinations that work. I’m planning to commission another semi-bespoke from him next year.

the trouble is, from my point of view that it ruins other fragrances to a great degree as these are so much better in purity and naturalness...

I have four bottles of his scents and just commissioned a custom one yesterday. Great quality perfumery and customer service. Can’t wait to see what he comes up with.

Dear Aventurier. You are right. The more I become a sufi the less I remain a perfumer.
The carpet in my prayer corner is more comfortable to my heart than the perfume scene of fuss and hyke, about just nothing but more crap.
The surest way to have a new perfume from me is to order me a bespoke.

Not really. As long as you learn to appreciate each genre/style for what they are. I happen tonenjoy ALL kinds of fragrances from the simple cheapos to the unnatural industrial stuff.

Hahaha. You’re too kind, sir but thank you. I have rubbished many fragrances in my time so I’m as far from sainthood as anyone else but I do appreciate it when a concept is executed well. Beauty can be found anywhere if one actively looks for it.
