Jebel is a corker, in my opinion. It's easy enough to wear daily, strong enough to last a day comfortably and interesting enough to not become tedious during the day. Ambery-sweet with a sandalwood base and some aniseed-type facets, though I'm unsure exactly where they come from! The raspberry isn't particularly prominent but adds to the overall melange.

Irisss is sweet-powdery. The EdP comes across very differently (less powdery, more leathery-sweet - think Valentino Uomo-esque) to the attar (considerably more powdery-floral). Nice, but I doubt I'd wear it a huge amount, the 10mL and small drop of attar will last me a long time.

The Rojas are great performers on me, with Reckless not being one I'd usually tend towards (I've never had a huge affinity for fir/pine notes) but it's balanced and masculine, and surprised me how much I enjoyed it. Enigma is 'boozy' and sweet, almost like cola sweets but with some grounding from something musky. Lasts an age but settles down to a close-to-skin fragrance so is suitable for work in my opinion.

The XJ Kampuchea Noir is something of a treat. It is expensive at retail but I've been fortunate enough to find it for considerably less than that. It's skanky, animalic but also round and smooth. It is dark, and settles to an almost sweet oud. Very nice, but not by any stretch crowd-pleasing.

Oud Luban is bright and incensed with some oud in the background. I'm not usually a fan of incense-type accords so this is so-so for me, but I'll need to give it another wearing to decide unequivocally.

Ceylon is something of a monster, but oddly addictive and satisfying for me. It's honeyed, smoky, tea-rich and barnyard-oud. I wear the sample 'for me', and don't over-apply, but there are definitely fecal tones to it. It fits a similar category as Kemi Jabir for me, in that there are typically unpleasant notes but something beautiful elsewhere in the composition. I'd love a bottle of this but my conscious reiterates that I'd not wear it as often as I like for fear of offending those around me.

Though neither Xerjoff nor Roja, the Imperial Oud Mysuru Ambur is, to use a Welshism, lush. It's a hearty, creamy Mysore sandalwood laden with lightly-halitosis-esque, salty, waxy ambergris. I'm a huge fan of ambergris-sandalwood tinctures and this is by no means an exception (see my next post )

On a slight tangent, however, my favourites from the Xerjoff lines are perhaps Richwood/Richwood attar, Jebel and Alexandria Imperiale. I would happily 'upgrade' my 20mL decant of Richwood for a fully-presented bottle if it wasn't for the high price-tag.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on these, I'm glad you found some stuff that you liked.

Thanks! I love GIT for any season... Dior Homme Parfum is by far my favorite in that line, the darker rose standing out. Never ceases to amaze that Dior makes it so difficult to get!... Rose Oud is a blind buy... I have tried several and have not yet found a solid wearable. This one looks promising. I once had Bvlgari and I have missed it much. It is beautifully smooth tea and leather with vanilla as well. Reminders of the discontinued (incredibly) Midnight in Paris!

Last I remember wearing it the opening was not as overbearing and it wore nicer as if the drydown of the EDP began in the opening of the EDT. I always struggled with the EDP with it’s heavy loud opening that takes about 1-2 hours to dry down to the nice dry down.

So if the EdT starts where the EdP finishes, what is the drydown of EdT like? If it's so different, I may need to sample it.

For me it is the opposite. I have tried and liked the edt. Before I am going for a bottle I would at least have tried the edp, since I don't want to blindbuy it and just hope that it is the best one.

I have not worn the EDT in a long while I will report back once I do, I just remember the opening being a lot nicer they are close though EDT wears well in warmer weather too.

EB is an interesting house. I have Chocolatl from them. It's a very nice, potent musky chocolate. Would like to try more.
