I wish they would re-release all of the original lineup, all of them would've been well deserved.

I’m wearing Bandit today. I love this one, but oh my gosh, I sure have attitude when I wear this! I was working with one of my favorite doctors today, putting in a stent in a patient’s heart. He asked for a 3 x 9 stent and before I could even stop myself I said “Are you sure you don’t want a 3 x 12?” He stopped, smiled, and said “I believe you are correct.” I mean, it’s ok to give opinions, but I could have said it nicer. <shrug> That’s Bandit.

Happy birthday to Kaern and happy BNversary to kewart

ExtremeK, I am really interested in that Le Participe Passe. I think it was Mike, who also said it was reminiscent of Chene (which I love). I have a sample order planned from LuckyScent and that is definitely on the list.

    hugs to all ...
    I've trademarked the color bleu

No! Literally on January 1, I was all, "YAY! It's almost spring!" David had to remind me that winter had technically arrived only 12 days before.

Trilby, you and I must have been on the same olfactory wave-length yesterday: while you were reveling in Fille en Aiguilles, I was delighting in the new resin-heavy (and Chene-reminiscent) release from Uncle Serge: Le Participe Passe. It's what I wanted FeA to be. Unfortunately, there's some note in FeA that gives me a rip-roaring headache. I wore Le Participe Passe all day yesterday, and it stayed warm, light, and lovely all day long. It's the only Serge release I've liked at all since Boxeuses (which I adore) and De Profundis.

Today, I'm being completely lazy although I need to do laundry in preparation for packing for our trip to Berlin on Friday (work for David -- more relaxing for me). So I'm sampling a bit more: on the left arm, the new iris-patchouli combo from Annick Goutal, Tenue de Soiree and on the right arm, the new mint-almond from Parfumerie Generale, Komorebi. I love Tenue de Soiree -- I'm sure it smells like another of the irises I already have, but it's so beautiful, it's short-circuiting my brain, and I can't figure it out. I'll take it to Berlin with me and drain the sample. If I still haven't figured it out by the time it's gone, that must mean I need a bottle.

Komorebi is lovely but it plays an immediate vanishing act, despite repeated re-applications. Too bad.

Teardrop, I'm hoping to sniff/buy And The World Is Yours while I'm in Berlin (KaDeWe carries it) -- this is one that you fell for last year, right? My sister in orange blossom and neroli love has me lemming for it!

Has anyone else here tried Mad et Len Apocalystick? I have fallen so hard for it -- and I've finally found something that scratches my undying itch for creosote.

I hope all of you have a wonderful day!

HUGE fan of creosote here... got to try that Mad et Len for myself...
