    Default versace our noir

How is this fragrance? I looks interesting to me, but I cannot find it locally and I cannot seem to find it on some of the common decant shops. Is it worth the 60 or so bucks they are asking for on fragrancenet?

edit: I guess I can't change the title, I'm looking for OUD noir.

It’s smells nice good beginners Oud mass pleasing, I was not a fan of the performance though after a few hours it quiets down a lot. Even on clothing, might perform better on skin though with constant change in body temperature etc.

Any suggestions on decent beginner oud frags around that price range from discounters? Boss bottled oud? Polo?

I hear Boss Bottled Oud is very nice, Polo Supreme Oud and YSL Oud Absolu all get great reviews a good place to start. Another good one is Creed Royal Oud name is deceiving since not much if any Oud but a very nice fragrance.

Polo Supreme Oud is nice. M7 Oud Absolu from Yves Saint Laurent is also good. Oud Wood from Tom Ford is very good if you can afford it. Preferably get at decant. Personally I did not enjoy Boss Bottled Oud.

Oud 101. Nice fragrance. Longevity can be spotty at times though.

A nice, even if not outstanding designer oud, it seems to have "a little bit of everything" with regards to this note and to other additional notes as well and remains very little challenging nor demanding, while quite inoffensive and smooth

Boss Bottled Oud is lovely, plus they claim it contains only real oud - don't know in what quantities, of course, but they wouldn't be able to make a claim like this without being able to back it up. Gucci Intense Oud is fantastic and a heavy performer. And YSL's M7 Oud Absolu is a classic well worth owning. But I think I would go for the Gucci if I could only have one of these.

Although it smelled quite nice, Versace Oud Noir's performance wasn't very good on me. I agree with the Gucci Intense Oud, M7 Oud Absolu and Polo Supreme Oud suggestions. Haven't tried Boss Bottled Oud. Ferrari Essence Oud is another decent beginner oud. And it's cheap, too!

It is kind of similar to purple Versace Man but with an oud note. I really don't like oud fragrances but I liked this one if I were to buy one oud fragrance it would be this one...

In his price range, I would put it behind M7 Oud Absolu and Gucci Intense Oud, but in front of Polo Supreme Oud and Boss Bottled Oud. A decent offering from Versace, featuring saffron, cardamom and black pepper with a woody drydown of oud, olibanum and patchouli. Another option worth considering is Ted Lapidus Oud (dark-leather, birch, coffee, incense and plum-y oud).

M7 Oud Absolu is way better. I don't really get much oud from versace oud Noir and am currently selling my bottle (UK). Have a look at some of the mancera and montale oud fragrances. Some of them can be picked up at a reasonable price.

It's a pretty good frag! Like Versace Man (purple bottle) with a dirt/soil/earthy element added. $60 isn't bad, .

Black Aoud is fairly reasonable. I might check that out, but I can sample it first from a decant shop, that seems prudent.

Ferrari Essence Oud has had my eye for a while. It has good recommendations from the Rose Oud thread recently.
In silence, with body and mind still, a depth of understanding may be achieved that is not available to one who languishes at the mercy of life’s relentless chatter.

As far as overall smell from my experience, I disagree. Gf bought me M7 Oud Absolu and I sold it on - like the original M7 better, but still might prefer the Versace over both. That said, I don't know if there was yet another formulation of M7 Oud Absolu (black covered bottle) - haven't tried that one maybe.
