I've only smelled Tabac Rouge, It's pretty close to Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille. One of the better choices from Phaedon along with Rouge Avignon.

Phaedon Tabac Rouge: Wonderful! A more refined, smoother, and a bit more complex version of Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille. It has excellent performance but not the bombastic performance that TV has. Opens with an aromatic, spicy ginger/cinnamon combination that's excellent. It has a nice piquancy and bite. The tobacco in the middle is fresh and smooth, it doesn't smell like the ash tray variety at all, and is not heavy or overwhelming, but it has good, solid presence filling out the mid. The base heads into gourmand territory with a luscious blend of benzoin and honey. The benzoin smells very much like vanilla, similar to that in TV. Both the benzoin and honey are clearly apparent and blend to make a base you don't want to pull your nose away from. This scent is fantastic, in my opinion, and has consistently stayed in my top 10 going on probably 6 years now. It's a gourmand tobacco with nice aromatic qualities. It never becomes cloying, and while performing well, it doesn't shout or have obnoxious tendencies. To be honest, I'm really surprised people don't mention it more often--it's that good.

I haven't tried Red Tobacco yet, so I can't comment on it. I have a bottle of Tabac Rouge and haven't felt the need to seek out another gourmand-leaning tobacco fragrance since.

Phaedon Tobac Rouge is very nice. Tobacco Vanille is vile.

I love Tabac Rouge. The honey in it is gorgeous, and to me it has an interesting oatmeal accord.
Red Tobacco is an assault to the senses.

Red Tobacco is when you want to clear a room. Any room of any size. Nuclear projection to the Nth power. It is the only sample that I smelled without ever opening the sample vial.

Tabac Rouge honestly surprised me. Supplanted Tobacco Vanille for that "pipe tobacco" type of fragrance. Smoother and subtler than the Tom Ford.

Own and love both but prefer the Mancera a tad more.

I've only tried Red Tobacco once, but I thought it was awesome. Beautiful, cinnamon-y tobacco.

Tabac Rouge is one of my grail fb purchases. Amazing fragrance that handily surpasses TV in my eyes. Haven't tried Red Tobacco yet but I can attest to the house's nuclear projection. Wore five sprays of Cedrat Boise to work one day...Bad idea.

    I haven't smelled the Mancera.

I own and really enjoy Phaedon Tabac Rouge, but Franck Boclet's Tobacco remains my favorite among scents of this ilk.

TR is the best in class for the sweet tobacco vibes. RT is the best in class for thermonuclear weapons disgused as fragrances.

    Haha, exactly!!!

I sampled Red Tobacco and found it to be pretty harsh. On me, it never really “settled down” as I was hoping it would.

Personally speaking, I think the Phaedon offering is just better. On that note, I’d also sample Boclet’s Tobacco and Josier’s Ambre Tabac. I feel that both of these are miles ahead of Red Tobacco.
I have found the paradox, that if you love until it hurts, there can be no more hurt, only more love.

Also excellent choices that bring their own twist to the tired sweet tobacco formula. RT does eventually settle down, all it takes is 3 showers and a skin peel for it to become a mildly tamed version of itself.

For real though I've never experienced a fragrance so strong, its ridiculously insane in its all out olfactive assault and crazier still is that it induces zero fatigue so you just have to endure it for its 36 hour performance off 1 spray. Jeepers! I mean I like em with some body but this one is just too much booty for one man to handle.

Thank you to everyone for your posts !
I really want to get Tabac Rouge...I just hope it's not one of those super expensive fragrances.
Red Tobacco sounds scary, lol ! but I'm eager to try it. I wonder if it may smell a little bit like Furyo because of the shared tobacco/ cinnamon notes (?).
Thanks for the other suggestions too !

100ml bottles typically retail for $160. If you get a coupon or buy during a discount a store is running you should be able to get it down to about $130-135. Considering its performance, and in relation to Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille prices, it feels like a very fair price. Unfortunately, Phaedon doesn't make 50ml bottles, so that option's out.
