Good morning everyone! I hope you're having a nice day and everyone having a cold is feeling better.

staticx, what a beautiful bottle! And it suits the name of the fragrance so well.

I started my day with Narciso Rouge again, just dabbed less than yesterday, it's a lot better that way. The more things I try and the more I observe my own reactions (I used to use fragrances very mindlessly most of my life, so lots of things are new to me), the more I see I don't like it much when a perfume has a very strong presence, as I start to feel either distracted by it or self-conscious. To think more about it, I probably should avoid everything from perfume houses known for overperforming fragrances (such as Montale, Moncera, Thierry Mugler, Tom Ford and I don't know what else), because even if I would like the scent itself, I'd probably hate to wear it anyway.

shycat, I hope your sleeping problems are starting to get better everyday. 6 hours of sleep is already something. I would gladly share some of my ability to fall asleep and sleep soundly with you. My problem is the other way round, I just sleep through all the alarms without hearing them or turn them off without waking up and it's constantly making me all kinds of problems. In cases where being late would be an absolute disaster I trick myself by drinking several glasses of water before bed, leaving the light and music on and so on, but I can't do it everyday as it's almost impossible to rest well that way.

Hang on in there shycat! Sleep hygiene programmes are very tough to endure
but, hopefully, worth it in the end for you. I did one and ended up taking up knitting
so I had something to do in the wee, small hours. I wish you well.

My husband woke me at 5 a.m. shutting the front door a bit too loudly on his way to
work (he travels the country a lot.) I just got back to sleep again at 7.00 and he rang me at 8.00
to ask for a code off his phone so he could get onto his computer! He retires in June, thank goodness,
as our timetables are not in synch at the moment. I go to sleep at midnight and he goes at 9.30.

So, when my body recovers from a broken night, I will wear Eau Ressourcante (Clarins.)

Have I told you about the scent of jasmine? Have I spoken about the smell of the sea? The earth is scented. And I perfume myself to enhance what I am. That's why I can not wear a perfume that bothers me. Perfuming is an instinctive wisdom. And like all art, it requires some knowledge of yourself..."

Morning, all. I hope everyone (except kewart!) is bright-eyed, bushy-tailed and feeling good. The sun is coming back, the evenings are getting a bit lighter again and I've even seen a couple of snowdrops coming up! Spring is on its way...
I'm in Sospiro Muse today. Sospiro are a new house to me and although I'm not always a fan of Xerjoff, I find this one quite lovely - clearly high quality and a lovely warm and soft fruity leather, sweet, but not too much so...

Yes, snowdrops! My neighbour has them in her front garden, & they've been in bloom for the last week or two.

LizB Glad you're "life stuff sabbatical" is winding down. Been there. You probably picked up on our planning a BN meet-up in May. Want to make sure you know we'd be happy to hear you say you'd come.

Day-Z wanted to lick everywhere I sprayed Guerlain Coquin this morn . I agree, it smells nice now, but just you wait, Little D, the heart is even better and goes on and on.

Don't want to go out in the cold for groceries, but an electrician is coming tomorrow and I need to prep some food I can reheat on the woodstove in case we're cut off from power for a prolonged period. This is all part of an all-too-long, bureaucratic process to get credit metering for adding solar. I may go into internet withdrawal tomorrow without electricity.

Twins! ST was calling me this morning, too. My, my, don't we smell lovely! Although, my weather is downright frigid, 12 degrees this morning -and that's after a warm up.

On the bright side, I have plenty of snow for JR! Please come get it.

Thank you!!! I really hope to do one someday...maybe one of the NYC ones as it is a straight shot up on the train for me.

And thanks for the additional "welcome back"s.

Today is Xerjoff Irisss because Zephyr's birthday/ Christmas gift made me want some serious iris. (Also wearing the FM Olivia Giacobetti hand cream.)

It is still pretty ding dang cold here...2 hr delay for wind chill. (Often the kiddies here don't have proper really cold weather gear, and a lot walk to school.) I'm sitting in my car trying to gather the mental fortitude to go in the building.

If only . We have a few snowdrops too and I think that is as close as we are going to get

As regards sleeping, I appear to be one of the fortunate ones. I always sleep and can do so virtually anywhere if necessary - bed, chair, floor, car, train, you name it. The only time I never manage it is when flying long haul. No idea why because I am not a nervous flyer

So it’s ok Later I need to do some groceryshopping too. It’s really cold, so not particularly looking forward to it . Sotd to keep me warm is Samsara. Was it ClovkworkAlice who had been to Tromsø many years ago? That’s fun The place is quite changed with growing tourismindustry. Particularly in winther. I like it here , but the winther is too long! :O
