Default Madhat Scents is very under-rated

I'm wearing Foliage and love it. I love all his scents. They are bargains considering the amazing quality of ingredients.

    I have all 4.

I recently cleared out and boxed some of my perfumes because they were getting to be too heavy for my cheaply built cabinet. There were only a handful of houses that I have multiple perfumes from that I included everything as a must keep in the cabinet: Creed, Serge Lutens, Slumberhouse, Lorenzo Villoresi, Profumum, Amouage, MPG, Parfum d'Empire ... and MadHat.

The BN Directory shows twenty-three (23) scents from this line. My fav? The disco'd Limed.

Of the ones available for sale, yes def' Mysore Lime. But Limed is still better than Mysore Lime.

I definitely agree! It's also cool that he's a BNer (which is how I found out about the line at first). I own a few from him: SantL, Rosa Resin, Fur, Limed, and Foliage.

I enjoy them all for different reasons, with maybe Rosa Resin being my favorite? Hard to pick!

I also love Mad Hat Scents and need to get some of the Mysore Lime. I missed out on Limed, unfortunately.

I own Rosa Resin: My favorite of the ones I own. It mixes rose with coniferous resins and is excellent!

Vert Moss: A nice oakmoss frag.

Onsen Woods: Smells somewhat like Hinoki wood.

MMXVIII which has some great conifer notes.

I agree that Mad Hat is a great house and well worth checking out!

I'm wearing Royk tonight. Sort of his version of Norma Kamali Incense, in my opinion.

For some reason I thought this company was closed... was surprised they are still active.

I went to the website. Unfortunately samples are not offered and I'm resolved not to blind buy, though Foliage sounds marvelous.

It’s extraordinary. Excellent oud and sandalwood. Great composition. Should be 5 times more expensive.

He doesn't really quit. Whenever he goes on vacation, he posts on his website that his fragrances aren't available or are "coming soon" so that people don't order them and get disappointed when their orders aren't filled promptly.

Didn't know that, about 2 years back or so after he launched vert moss he boarded his shop saying he was done and thank you for following along with him. That's what I was referring to.

As his taste in scents is close to mine in some aspects I would have sampled his scents extensively, but unfortunately last I checked he wasn’t shipping overseas.
    1. No, never blind buy (I do, but do as I say, not as I do. I'm taking no responsibility for your fragrance gambling).
    2. Get them both. You're a Basenoter and you know you're going to end up purchasing them both eventually.
    3. Yes, it has been reformulated.

Try ShopMate with Auspost. Costs a little extra but you can source US only products. There are a few more companies that offer the service for Australia as well.

Thanks for the pointer. I’ve only just moved back to Australia, so I’m clueless about these services between the US and Australia.

Alao never thought to try through surrender to chance. Looks like they are more accessible than I thought.
