My SOTD is Cuir de Lancome. Time after time, I come back to the jasmine, smoky leather. Not as smoky as, say, Lonestar Memories, but a floral leather not to be missed.

We have a sprinkling of snow! Our log burner is lit (whilst we are
still allowed to use it!!) and several layers of clothing have been put on.
I am ready for winter now.

I reached for Molinard's Vanille this morning. It so warm and cheery.

It's still lighty cold and it's snow outside everywhere, and pavements are icy, but the sun is shining like it was a spring afternoon. Lots of light outside, especially when sunshine is reflected by all the snow on the ground.
Terre de Lumière is very fitting today, the land is full of lightness indeed!

    Morning all!

We had a layer of frost this morning so thick that it looked like snow, but it's disappeared already in the bright sunshine.

Thumbs up Re: SOTD: Wednesday, 23rd January, 2019

Have I told you about the scent of jasmine? Have I spoken about the smell of the sea? The earth is scented. And I perfume myself to enhance what I am. That's why I can not wear a perfume that bothers me. Perfuming is an instinctive wisdom. And like all art, it requires some knowledge of yourself..."

Is decluttering ever really done? (Asking for a friend.)

SotD is Guerlain Cruel Gardenia from a sample. A friend visited the flagship in Paris and gifted me 3 samples. Joyeuse Tubereuse I dislike. Floral Romantina is fine, but I'll pass the sample on. This one, though...it's like an aggressive laundry detergent. I love it. (Unless it ends up wearing me out over the course of the day, as these types of fragrances sometimes do.)

Have a great day, everyone...I need to hurry now or I'll be late for my morning meeting.

My decluttering can't keep up with my recluttering. I'm working on it though.

My dear ones, if I wasn't so vain I'd post a pic. Remember that punch biopsy? So I had another one-- 5mm instead of 3mm. Oh, and by the way, since, ya know...I was going to be there anyway, Kybella. Oh, Google it. OR take my assessment: 28 injections of liquid fire into one's double chin. BWAH HA HA ! 24 of them were nicely numb--4 of them approximated giving birth.

I look like I've lost a fight with a baby kangaroo for sleeping rights under my jaw. Multiple bruises. Swelling that is spectacular SWELLING, the band-aid mid-cheek from the be-bopsy, the dark shadows under my insomniac eyes-- 4 hours last night.

So, teardrop, this is the hybrid "decluttering-pottering," yes?

    Oh, my dear (((Shycat))).

We're waiting on the electrician, so I'm not sure how long before he arrives, sets up, then cuts the power. As a cheap-ass, house-tidying, DIYer, and introvert, this whole process of having people come in to work on our house for thousands of dollars is mildly stressful.

I was thinking about everyone's comments regarding seasonal moodiness. I suspect that, since we here function on our own calendar, my mood may be more consistent than others, and, because grocery shopping is virtually my only social outing and I kinda treat it that way, I go in with a sort of upbeat attitude. Around the holidays I enjoyed the ready smiles and eye contact people were sharing. Now that that common awareness of festivities is gone, I think people have grown sullen, plus I think my store is staffing more young people who don't have as much of an understanding for the value of customer service.

Well ... just heard from electrician he's cancelling due to weather. Dern it.

Felt like I wanted to wear a proper "p.e.r.f.u.m.e" -- so Boucheron it is.
